On the Street…The Fortezza, Florence

Thanks again to @manifatturarichardginori for the super fun Caffe Ginori x The Sartorialist during Pitti Uomo!

And thanks to @anagimeno222 and everyone else that broke from Italian tradition and walked around Florence with the most chic to-go coffee cup ever!!

She looks so cool, I can’t wait to grow older and just be able to be myself having got rid of a lot of ridiculous worries!

Really like her look! I am not such a fur fan though. I think hairy alpaca is a good alternative. I myself got this Cruba coat which is made of cashmere wool and alpaca , but I also really like this Helmut Lang coat or even this boucl√© wool biker jacket from lala Berlin There are a lot of great alternatives for fur (and I don’t mean fake fur!).

Oh gosh, this is so beautiful and she is so beautiful, but the combination of the fur collar and the environmentally wasteful to go cup feel tone deaf to me. I’m interested in seeing how beauty, awareness and compassion intersect, even in the fashion world. Oblivious luxury just feels so dated and narcissistic. Mr. Schuman, I admire your incredible eye and work so much and it would be so exciting if you would dedicate some of your efforts to promote a greater sense of responsibility. Sorry to be so serious… navigating this new world feels like we need all hands on deck!

Love this look – but there’s nothing, ever, chic about a (non) disposable coffee cup.

I have to agree… why not go for a beautiful scarf with that design instead of a disposable coffee cup… I truly hope ‘everyone else that broke from Italian tradition’ will return to their usual habits!

Do you know that the beautiful Museo Ginori will be sold ar auction on Feb 23? The Ginori owners did not buy the museum nor the archive! It has to be saved!

Hats! They make this outfit so cool. And her rings. It says, I am not ordinary!

I’m so glad that Italians have not embraced the American infatuation with take away coffee cups. A Starbucks sighting is rare in Italy. You can print a fancy design onto a cup but it don’t make it right. However, she is rocking that hat and glasses like a boss.
