Am I nitpicking if I would have preferred a gray or black espadrille or sandal to go along with the black skirt and gray tank?

    Otherwise, love the dressy/casual combo.

You’re not her are you ? Why be so opinionated when fashion is in the eye of the wearer anyway – and she was just being herself…as we all are…being ourselves.

Haggie, no, your not. But they look like they go with the beige? color in the bag.

With her hand on her waist, and the suck of her cheeks, it looks like “I need this!” Attitude, it seems a tension in the photo about to be released. Interesting.

.Personally, I think that it looks MUCH better the way she has chosen to wear it. Not to mention how much more summery this looks. I think maybe you just grew up with those fashion rules that no one remembers any longer. White shoes go perfectly with black bottoms. Far better then black and black.

Oh how I adore this shot, let me count the ways! I love how you can see the smoke, but also I love the outfit (how the skirt makes for a lovely silhouette), and the fashion girl stance. A great blend of edgy – tattoos and cig – and feminine. Just perfect!

I hate smoking too, but from a purely compositional standpoint, the cigarette really adds to the line of the whole.

its not the health issue, its the fact that those beautiful clothes stink at the end of the day and unfortunately so do the clothes of anyone within 10 feet of her during the day. It is about the clothes

you can wash them and I am not sure if the traffic in NYC is making smell them better…

Glad to see there are still people smoking in NYC! Is bad for health but a liberty no radicalism should stop. I like the outfit and the kind of statement posture.

This is quite an interesting photo, Scott.

From the waist down she’s feminine and sweet (ending with the bow-tied espadrilles), but from the waist up she’s unmistakably edgy and tough with the tightly knot-tied top surrounded by tattoos.

I wish I could just accept the cigarette as a liberty (and it is, really) or even just an accessory, but all it does for me in the photo is make me wonder how just much her clothes reek of stale ciggies at the end of the day.

When you’re in London in September do try and see the Terence Donovan exhibition at the Photographers Gallery. I saw it last week and thought it was so good I’m going to see it at least one more time before it closes.

Grace Kelly from waist down. I wonder why someone with such a patrician, classic sense of chic thinks those tattoos are happening?

The most confusing picture for me to comment on!!

The skirt and espadrilles look nice, yeah somewhat today’s G.Kelly, however the tattoos and the tied top are so crowded and confusion!! Also the bag doesnot seem to süit the whole Picture. She wanted to mix classic and casual in a total seçene but something bothers you in the combo!
The hair and the glasses are nice though.
