The second image reminded me of plaid coats from the 1950s, with the requisite black pumps. This time around, it’s done with a looser fit, not the cinched and belted waist. I don’t like this first fit, because my taste leans to loose with fitted, not loose all over. The pumps seem to imply a fitted suit or dress under the loose “great kilt” coat. I get a little nostalgic for looks the ladies of the 50s wore. My generation missed all that.
