Save Khaki is one of my “hidden gem” shops here in New York.  It doesn’t feel like a “hidden gem” to me because I’ve shopping there for quite a while, but it seems lots of people are still just discovering its understated charm.

Although I really like Save Khaki for their Fall basics, I really Love Save Khaki for my Summer time wardrobe.  The best item is their V-neck tee.  The V is neither too deep nor too high, the quality of the cotton is superb, and the soft, faded colors are perfect for Summer.  Surprisingly, my second favorite item is the crisp, cotton poplin pajama bottoms…oh they’re perfect!  They don’t drape or cling to my legs so I stay very cool when I sleep.

As the size of the stores expand, so does the product offering.  Recently, Save Khaki began carrying more home furnishings, most of which would fit in perfectly in 90% of the Tumblr interior shots I see.

This is my kind of store : Natural fabrics, faded colors, comfortable clothing, lived in couch and lots of “stuff” to chose from.

The store layout looks so refreshing and calm! So important to have a good shop ambiance, and underrated too I think

My husband loves Save Khaki. We tried to go recently but their old store had closed and their new one had not opened yet. I guess it is open now. It looks beautiful. I want to check out the home interiors.

    Ciao Sart,
Save Khaki, looks a great shop for the “basic” pieces with great quality. Personally I do not love the V-neck tee whit deep neck in a man but natural fabrics, faded colors can do the difference.

Man, I wish they would open a shop like that in Austria! Americans really are the best when it comes to well made, durable casual pants. (Then again, they are the worst when it comes to suits and blazers.)
