Alright, enough of this. ¬†I’m going to give Scott the one thing I know he doesn’t have…. SOCKS!!!!

Smart ass.

I know when Scott does wear socks, he only wears the long socks so they don’t fall down to his ankles. ¬†In the US, Brooks Brothers has a great selection.

I have to be honest…. I am finding this Secret Santa banter a bit too much! I get it, you have sold out to to marketers and retailers! Just show us the great photos you take!

      To Ann,

There’s no selling out here. If you haven’t figured out by now, we truly love fashion. Even though product doesn’t influence the way I shoot on the street, it doesn’t mean that I don’t love sharing the products that I actually feel strongly about.

I love fashion and I’m giving you my honest take on what I think is great. We’re just trying to have a little fun with it.

I absolutely adore what you guys did here with this series- loved the seasonal references. And I for one found the slight diversions a welcome change amongst the routine posts.

Just as with the socks ordeal, I hope you pay little to no mind to the internet trolls. Just think of it as a sign you’ve arrived.

And, when so many get new socks and underwear for Christmas, Please back up what you are cleaning out, in zip lock bags and label size on for underwear. So they can be given out to the homeless. Underwear and socks are disposable to them, so please don’t be offended. Save to send to the high homeless church or shelter.

  26. rhodesianridgeback

    December 13, 2012 at 5:36 pm

Please put old socks and underwear in size labeled zip lock bags. If you are easily offended that the homeless dispose of these things as they use them, this mission is not for you. Check for the mission or church that has the highest input or need for these items. They have no room to stock most clothes, so be selective to the needs of the men. Remember, they layer, so light weight sports overshirts are easy for them to wash and air, too. Just like you do when you are out in the wilds. Best Practices.

Oh dear, laughed out loud at this in the library…getting some v-e-r-y icy looks right now!

Justin and Scott, these posts have been a really great way of showing the lovely, thoughtful little things you can buy the men in your life. How about running a few posts on stocking-stuffers for women? (Not sure how that will fit into your Secret Santa banter, but it’d be super helpful!)

    Best. Thread. Ever.

When I was a little girl, my dad would always say that he wanted socks for Christmas because that’s all I could afford. Now, *clears throat* _ _ years later, he still tells me he wants socks for Christmas…

The Sartorialist is my daily treat first thing with tea in the morning in Paris where I live and work. Socks you say? In case you need a good address, and truly this is not to advertise, but my shop Crimson in Paris has 40 colors in wool and 40 colors in egyptian cotton. ONLY producing long socks that end just under the knee. My philosophy is a well dressed gentleman ONLY wears long socks or no socks at all.
IN any case, thank you Scott and your team for adding a moment of fun to my schedule each day. With all sincerity.

    Dear Sart & Justin,
I don’t think you guys should bother too much with the negative comments in regards to the banter. I just don’t see how some harmless and fun exchanges could be about marketing! It is YOUR blog after all. (What’s with those people anyway??!! Loosen up!!) Personally, I find your little conversations amusing and add a human touch to your blog. After all it’s only until Christmas.

Give him sock garters. He’s one of the few men living who might appreciate them for their retro value. (Oh, and for holding up socks.) My dad used to wear them every day; this fascinated me as a child.
