Yesterday, Garance asked me to do a quick shot of her new haircut for her blog (which I did).  However, I thought the rest of her outfit (especially the colors) were so beautiful I had to take one for myself (and you).

I know it could sound very weird but she is such an idol for me that I try everyday to have her fashion style, by trying wearing colors she would wear, assembling prints such as she would do, buying things she would fine nice (with my budget). I follow Garance and you since I am 13 years old and I just can’t be bored, because what you do is art, and I want to be an artist too (though people have prejudice, saying fashion is not an art). Sometimes I almost loose hope but this is what I want to do: work in fashion. I am doing hard studies, it’s not easy everyday but thinking about you make me want to go further and success in what I really want.
Garance is such an inspiration for me, I mean I don’t want to be her, or even just like her because we’re not the same persons of course, but she helps me to continue and to fight for what I want everyday. You make me want to be free in my future and to became what I want, to create my fashion style too. You two are creating a new vision of the world that I like very much because you are true, you are yourself and you are doing what you really want to do, with style.
Even if I am just a preparatory school student with a very little budget for apparel, you have learned me to try to buy things I would keep and love forever (not exactly forever but that I would love to have in my closet for a long time). I am trying, at my level, to invest in items of good quality and design, even if it just once a month or a year. You two, Garance and Scott, help me to create what I want to be despite what people have in mind about style when I say I want to work in the fashion industry. Thanks for helping, thanks to give me the support I sometimes need just by posting photographs or articles.

Garance is actually incredibly beautiful in this picture, I love the red pants with this kaki jacket and the white shirt that reveal the other matching colors. Her new hairstyle is great too (what I really love about Garance is a sense of humor, and I think this is because she is from the south of France, just like me (joking) (ok not totally joking) the way she tells the story of her hair (I found them really great though).

Clara, a big fan, for a very long time and from a very far country

She is absolutely stunning. Everything in this picture is so beautiful; Her face, the hair, the make-up, the clothes, the light – and your love for each other. I honestly thinner Garance is the prettiest of all the ladies on this blog, regardless of your relationship. But knowing that this amazing was taken by the one she loves, it makes the picture even more fabulous.

I love Garance’s hair! Her hair is the same as mine. I think what’s natural is beautiful. However, when one has curly hair, it is a little bit difficult to look “socially acceptable” and keep the natural hair texture all at once. While I don’t straighten or chemically treat my hair, I use a thick leave-in conditioner or cream to tame it, keep it down, and smoothed out in a tight bun. I don’t ever come to work with my hair “big.”
I really admire you and Garance – you two are an inspiration that one may be doing what one loves to do, and that “work” does not have to be miserable, but can be quite fun, and actually a pleasure.

one of the main reasons why i follow your and garance’s blogs is the need for some unadulterated beauty to keep the faith, day to day. this picture, the one she posted and garance herself in both, are all about that.
