I love her down to her Creamsicles® socks and sensible shoes. Probably steel-toed, because that’s how my Baby rolls. . .

Loving this outfit! I used to have identical Doc Martens to these when I was in 4th grade, and even insisted on wearing them with a bridesmaids dress once. Also, the frontal cross body pack is ideal for travelling in Europe!

I find it VERY odd that people always NEED people to smile. If someone doesn’t want to do something, just let them be. It’s NOT their responsibility to make you feel ‘better’. It just so happens that in South Korea…people are feeling PRESSURED to smile more. Forcing much insecurity/peer pressure in turn causing many people to get ‘smiling plastic surgery’. Messed up. Let people be. Smile or don’t. Let’s try to be tolerant, even if it’s not your cup of tea. This young woman looks ethereal to me. =)

        Stop Telling Women to Smile

Stop Telling Women to Smile is an art series by Tatyana Fazlalizadeh. The work attempts to address gender based street harassment by placing drawn portraits of women, composed with captions that speak directly to offenders, outside in public spaces.

Very interesting art series. Art is a great medium to talk openly. The series is a feminist standpoint that is positive and thought provoking. I also see it as something that many people could identify with….not just women. Men and women are BOTH wonderful. Its the bullying that universally most people have a problem with. Men get bullied too. Be a ‘man’…’toughen’ up, Etc. I think universally we will all go thru periods of joy/grief. Being mindful and losing assumptions is key. Thank you for the great link/art… =)

I like that her socks match her hair. The Prussian blue of the gloves and cuffs match her eyes, I like to think.

Matching one’s hair colour to one’s socks – IS – inspired when you are only wearing black. Genius,. Especially when the shapes are so graphic, androgynous and classic . So clean and impeccable.
