On the Street…Lower East Side, New York

This image really takes me back to when I was a stay-at-home Dad.

It was such a wonderful, challenging, nerve-wracking and totally rewarding experience.

I feel so blessed that I had that time with my kids. I had never picked up a camera before I had my first child and basically I learned photography by shooting them on trips to the park.

Tomorrow I’ll post about something that really humbles me and is a true honor and it is a direct result of the time I spent raising and caring for my children.

Thank you Isabel and Claudia for helping me grow and learn as much as I tried to help you do the same

Somehow I think dad-in-sarong and black polo shirt would not have been possible in a Manhattan summer that many years ago. I admire his chutzpah and applaud changing times. I’m dying to know what he’s wearing underneath it.

I wouldn’t try wearing this at all but the guy in the picture nailed it. William, your imagination will unfold what he is wearing beneath it. LOL cheers!

I hope this Lucky Dad is cherishing every moment he’s blessed like this. (I just found a bag like this. Love it. Have neither the hips nor the swagger for the sarong. Envious.)

It is wonderful to be able to stay home and raise your kids. It is much more hard than going to work and much more rewarding indeed. People who do that have my utter respect.

And I like that the gentleman in the photo has a little fun with his outfit :)

I appreciate this post. It’s wonderful to get a more personal perspective and go beyond the lens.

Glad that he is able to spend time with his children. As far as his fashion choice, maybe he was in a hurry and just randomly threw things on?

Scott, you are such a blessed soul and how I missed reading something written by you. The time spent with my son has helped me in so many ways, I feel like I have evolved like never before and I cherish in a selfish, yet very loving way, every single moment of the maternity leave and of ever summer holiday that we spent together, the two of us.
