Love this – it’s all about how he is wearing it rather than what it is.

I don’t possess the self-confidence to pull this off. Probably a generational thing from a guy whose growth spurts always outpaced my parents ability to clothe me. That said, I give the gent props for originality. Revel in you being you, friend.

very well put together. For my taste I can’t get used to “honey, did you shrink my suit in the dryer?”

Not sure why but this look really works for him…
Scott’s framing to create that above the head reaching higher and higher makes for a great shot. Well done Scott.

I don’t think I’d take seriously anybody with such outfit.

Very interesting theories here in the comments about what influenced his clothing choices. Fashion? Economy? Religion? The suit is very tidy, and the shoes, turtleneck and sunglasses look pretty nice. If economy is a big part of why he chose that fit for his suit he is certainly doing well making it seem like a fashion choice. One way to tell; If those shoes are inexpensive( and they look great regardless the cost) then economy is a factor.

I did my share of thrift shop shopping years ago. This man can get away with the jacket, but the best thing for those pants would be for them to be made into shorts. Also, unmatched socks are a pretense best left to teenage girls. If the only clean socks in the drawer are not matched (BTDT), have pants long enough so that it is not immediately apparent.

I love the fit of the pants, although I’m a bit less sure of the jacket. People wear cropped pants like that quite often. If he took off the jacket no one would ever consider the size as being too small for him.

Is this a joke ? Wearing his younger brothers clothes

There’s an informative discussion somewhere about how to make “shrunk” clothes look intentional. The proportions look uncomfortable on this fellow.

Mis-match socks? Would have been a big fan of this edgy look had the socks matched and more of a proper style shoe.

This is only original if you are actually Thom Browne. It’s not even pressed. Just sloppy and over-reaching.

He needs to take his clothes back to the thrift store and exchange them for something that fits.

This seems more I-don’t-give-a-fsck than anything primarily economic.

Like it, partially the James Worthy-like googles.
