Being 1/2 Indian myself and traveling to Mumbai numerous times alone as a woman, I have so many visuals in my mind of the color and use of fabric and textiles. It’s like no other place. Thank you for capturing its beauty.

I love how the two women are interacting so casually but look so glamorous. The contrast of the two is beautiful.

It is funny how the Indian kurta is adapted to being worn as a dress in Western culture. However, this can lead to funny incidents…

I was traveling around India alone a few years back and was in Kerala. I bought this colorful kurta and wore it around while sight seeing with sandals (since it was incredibly hot). I was strangely drawing attention ALL day from men offering me a ride, etc. Then I realized later that this top is never worn without pants by women in India! Even though the length of this as a dress for us is perfectly conservative and fine, this must have been quite a site and hilarious for locals seeing foreigners adapting their style of dress and looking like they forgot their pants! LOL!!
