I agree this is just horrible things. Anything can be fashionable now….it is easy. Elegance and sophistication are not easy.

great looks, I love the second one, even if I would be FREEZING if I had to walk like this in NYC in February!

    I can’t wait for PFW street looks! (I am Parisian :-) )

Amazing textures! I especially love the first look. So many contrasting pieces that somehow work together.

I really love the first look, especially for how she combined lace for a Winter look!

Me too – love how her scarf delicately matches the colour of her lips and how she looks a bit shy. Also, the soft pink of her sweater is not a colour that anyone can carry off with so much elegance.

How they endure the cold??? I wonder how many layers they wore underneath and if there’s any layer at all. They must be real skinny to look skinny if they have layers.

I was in Manhattan in December 2009 when one day it was in low 30′s with wind. No matter what I did I could not get warm, face, hands, limbs all frozen and shaky. The feet had no feeling, on the brink of frost bite.

How did these ppl survive if they had no livery driver?

For many, being looked at, desired, admired, is vital.

Love the “dentelle” skirt, so delicate, associated with a boyfriend “bonnet” (1st pic)

Girl in 2nd pic needs to stuff her bag down her front or wrap her ankles in it. I hope she warmed up inside, she looks like she was actually in pain.

Last image, fur with snakeskin booties, is just a fabulous photo. Not so much a fan of the fashion, but the composition and mood here are really fun. Would make a great book cover!

2nd chickie from the bottom: pastel pink & maroon is such an elevated, beautiful combo.

I work at a big box retailer in a college town in western NY. There is a trend among students to wear summer clothing- shorts, sandals etc. on the coldest days imaginable. Bare skin in sub-zero temps is dangerous, people! Frost-bite is extremely painful and can do permanant damage. Love the gentleman with the boots.
