Interestingly, the 2 looks could just as easily have been reversed – day vs night.

    Great outfits for all ages…
I’d like to see the shoes too :(
Even the golden frame of the sunglasses matches with the clothes.

It’s so good because it is so effortless. His shirt is tucked in. His clothes fit. Seems so simple, and yet…

I thought it was funny that no one supposed that he spilled some of his lunch on his nice white shirt and had to change . . .

I love pippas comments — oh george can do no wrong. BTW after you posted the last picture of george with the 1/2 tucked in shirt & the dbl monkstrap shoes (senza calzini) ive seen more people running around town sporting that look — in fact the week after you posted that imagec, in the windows of the levis store on 59th & lex all the manniquens had their sirts 1/2 tucked in only in the front

Ah, the lovely Mr Cortina! Could we have a folder dedicated to him, please?
My favorite was the fittedpolotankwatchshortpantsmonkstrapandaviators – an early capture, I believe. Keep shooting him, please, Scott.

Style that just won’t quit! Mr. Sartorialist, please do a profile on this Mr. Cortina if you can. I think there is so much to learn from him!

Yes, you have pictured this gentleman several times, but, to me, it is quite obvious it is because of his natural and classy sense of style. I like the elegance of both outfits, classic yet modern. I am so tired of the nouveau-rich virtually screaming for attention in their outfits that I find refreshing to find out that there are still few men who understand that old “adagio”: less is always more! Bravo!

He reminds me of Marcello Mastroianni (sp?) in terms of his chic cool. Good pictures, marvelously styled gentleman.

What a soignee, handsome gentleman! Perfect example of a day to night transition with the switch of a shirt!

You forgot to mention Mr. Cortina’s famous sense of humor — I saw him in the barber shop this week, after many years, and he cracked me up with his wicked wit and orneriness. Still the same funny man I knew back when we were kids.

HI GEORGE – It was great to see you – who would have guessed you aged so well? Not me! HA!
