This week really starts the summer at The Sartorialist.

London, as usual, was a quick dip in an icy pool, but as I write this, I’m baking under the Tuscan sun. The images are coming fast, so be ready for lots of posts over the next few weeks.

This trip will literally take me around the world.  London, Florence, Milan, Paris, Madrid, Bali and Sydney.  If you have 5 minutes a day and a computer, you can come with me!

The 90′s again! I love this look, the look of all the British shoegazer boys from back then. They were all so very beautiful and sensual. He’s total channeling young Mark Gardener of Ride here.

Don’t you see this same image in bars, restaurants, cafes and the like, all over the world. A man and his smart phone. Waiting for someone? Checking his email? Texting? Whiling away the hours? Where is his girlfriend?

No matter how I try a really good chunky sweater just looks like a really good chunky sweater on me instead of me looking good in a really good chunky sweater (sigh)…That said this kid and the sweater compliment each other seemingly effortlessly.

If you come to Spain, you should visit San Sebastian, which is very near from France (not more than half an hour), it has the best restaurants in Spain, and there are “beautiful people” all over the town.

For all of you whining as to why he’s drinking water, well he happened to be modeling at that time and place for TOPMAN Collection.

    He’s a genuinly nice guy,
if you want see more of him here is his instagram

  55. Jack Taffel, the boy in the photo!

    June 19, 2013 at 6:11 pm

I’m the boy in the photo! Can I just say, I was drinking water because I’m 17 and I had just gotten out of walking the Topman S/S 14 show. I fancied a sit down and some water. To those of you complimenting my look, thank you :)

Looking forward to your Sydney visit! It’s winter right now, but Australian winter is quite bipolar, it’s not exactly too cold, it doesn’t snow and the sun is always there so you’ll definitely be finding interesting characters. Hopefully I’ll spot you in a crowd :)

My favorite so far, the moment is really captured : the handsome guy, in his handsome cardigan, in this common place. The beauty is revealed in this common place. Not the first time and I’m sure not the last. Thank you.
