i like it when kids aren’t dressed up like little play-things. she’s such a little person (as in, she looks very adult). i hate how pink and purple- and all that accompanies them- are forced on girls. doesn’t she look like she could be the daughter of #1 somehow?

Ms. Pink would have looked great with bare legs. The black tights aren’t the business.

I wonder if the little girl chose her own clothing for the day? I believe in letting kids pick out whatever mish-mash of things they want to wear…the results can be inspiring!

Luv luv luv that pink dress; it has such a beautiful and subtly complex structure. Though I agree with the poster who said those opaque black tights did not work well with it.

The shoes did, however. I am planning on buying a very similar pair, myself.

the pink dress and the black tights do not go very nicely together. the black is so dark for those bright colors…. the little girl is so cute!

Awwww!! She’s adorable!! I love it when kids dress up, they become too cute to be true!! I agree with Anon 7:00, she does look like the person in photo # 1, maybe it’s the hair.. I’m not that fond of the person’s style in the first photo, but there’s something that shines through.. Not sure what it is, maybe it’s to do with confidence, and how comfortable one is in their own clothes..

I love the contrast of the pink dress with the black tights. I didn’t expect to see such a stark look for the legs.

My favorite is the little girl. It’s so refreshing to see a child in simple, nice clothing (in contrast to the growing number of children in clothes plastered with logos of Buzz-Lightyear or Disney Cinderella; essentially, walking advertisements). Though a bit ironic, I feel that her sophisticated earth tones are far less dreary than the gaggles of small girls dolled up in frilly, bright or pastel colored outfits stamped with princess logos. The background of big, floppy trees and the girl’s mischievous grin make me long for childhood.

LOVE the pink outfit! Pretty with a funky edge! I think black tights and white shoes also look HOT and wore them here in Sydney through this past winter.

the woman in the pink dress has got it all wrong. am i the only one that thinks so. rule of thumb – black leggings should NEVER be teamed with bare shoulders – it’s just too garish. cute dress though – shame about the ensemble

Love, absolutely love the black tights with the summer dress and the white open-toe shoes. In cases like this, not always, but in cases such as this I'm all for hosiery with open-toe shoes. Very classy and idiosyncratic ensemble, truly inspiring. The wonderful background brings it out even more. This just makes me feel happy. Thanks.
