On the Street…Kensington Gore, London

It seems that we’re entering into an age where women are able to borrow not only masculine styling tips from their male counterparts but also feminine cues.

This is such a great shot! Firstly, the person is gorgeous:) Then there’s the fashion. Totally unique and new. I love the feminine touches. I also love that crazy bracelet which looks like he just escaped from somewhere, which goes with the chain and collar.

Although there are female cues this is still pleasing aesthetically..what a play on the suit.

True, Liz. This man’s form of androgyny is low-key, subtle, matter-of-fact – in contrast with the varieties we used to see, which were more dramatic. The look still catches our eye – for its novelty – but there is definitely progress! xo

So many very masculine elements to the look. Everything mirrors each other. The suit is both masculine but the sleeves, lapel, turns that on its ear. Yes the very masculine industrial look of the LV logo matches the lines of the pinstripes. Then the industrial look of the bracelet with obvious luxury brand feelings. I love this.

Nice pic, but the jewellery is a total rip off from the Paradise Found Fine Erotic Jewellery Collection “Sado-Chic” by Betony Vernon.

I think it’s interesting that you interpret this as an opportunity for women to take “feminine cues” from men. Isn’t he borrowing feminine styling tips from women?

Exactly my thought too. Scott, it’s a two-way street of borrowing.

I Believe Scott was being slightly and benevolently ironic. Just my observation.

The clothing is absolutely top and his byoux are wonderful.
Also a good model who can wear (porter) this outfit.
Thank you Scott and model for this picture.

I love your website and photos but your comment struck a chord. Could it not be the other way around? That men are finally opening up to their feminine side because, if not in this day and age then when?

Both ways. The suit-sans shirt is a revelation and the long-strapped purse/handbag and other accessories look fabulous on him.

Hel-LOOOO there! Very well put together, love the bag, and the gentleman is super attractive. Oh, and he commented! Hi, Faiyaz! I also LOVE the fringe on your jacket from your own blog post on 9/28 <3 You're delightful, great point of view, and I'm following now.

    “Who makes it?”
“Uh, MISSterious. And it is mysterious because the buttons are on the wrong side… that’s the mystery.”
