You do realize that dude has a swastika on his leg, right? What is this? Why are you putting this online?

Good catch. I did not see that symbol in there. I guess my question now is whether he was from India where it has been a symbol for something entirely different from very long before Hitler appropriated it, or has it for a far more upsetting reason.

Second question, or observation, really: it seems interesting to think how people would have reacted to Hitler had they seen him in that get-up.

The swastika symbol was used by many ancient religious icon in the cultures of Eurasia. It is used as a symbol of divinity and spirituality in Indian religions. It was appropriated by Hitler. The impact of which changed the meaning of the symbol for many. Looking at the tattoo I think one can see the original influence of the symbol rather than the Nazi symbolism. However to claim it back does require a great deal of strength in ones belief especially when tattooed to your skin. Looking at the rest of the attire I may suggest that this person confronts norm beliefs and brings them into the public realm for discussion.
As a sartorial statement, tattoos and attire, it may not be one I would wish to recreate myself but I would certainly want to converse with this person.

That is, quite obviously, not a Nazi swastika, but the much more ancient and noble Hindu symbol.

So true carole,…and the chap tattooed on his other leg has to look at it constantly!

The “chap” is (or at least seems to be) Johnny Cash. If we tried to build some sort of culture for ourselves we would discover a whole new world. One in which the word “horrible” does not make any sense.

This is really not possible. Shocking. Elegance is hard to find. Someone has to tell this dear man that he does have a very bad taste.
