The pleated trouser pleats and their relaxed fit give the suit a pleasing retro look. Meanwhile, the sober dark-blue of the tie and breast-pocket are a calming counterpoint to the ‘rebellious’ shirt.

Maybe it’s something to be considered now? The solid tie and neutral color of the suit mute the print a bit; but the print let’s the world know that there is some fun underneath.

Yes! This Spring, I actually wore this, in different colors, to the wedding of a good friends’ daughter. I wore a floral-print tie, in a complimentary hue, to the shirt, not the suit. I was very satisfied, and was rewarded for my daring by numerous compliments. I have to try this blue-beige combo the next time it’s weather-appropriate. Maybe I can find something in fall-winter colors. Yea! Fun with clothes! That’s one of the delights of being a fashionista-wannabe. If your particular circumstances permit, you almost owe it to yourself to reach out a little. Thanks, Sart. Goodnight, everybody.

This is beyond amazing, I love it, he looks great! I think it works so well because of the great quality of the fabrics and the tailoring of the suit.

If you see an old geezer walking around Manhattan similarly dressed, it might be me. Suit, patterned shirt, solid tie. Very Flusser but the patterns are paisley or floral.

I really hate printed shirts in all forms. At best, here for example, they exaggerate the metrosexual effect. At worst they look like someone crawled out of a rock music recording studio in his mobile home.

The colors match: the tie, the handkerchief and the pattern of the Shirt. That’s, why it works.
