I’m loving all the man-jewelry you’re showing us at the moment. Very tempted to ditch my usual delicate gold pieces for some big chains, random pieces of fabrics…etc.

primitive chic=hot! :)
September 4, 2012 at 1:51 pm
Why “primitive”-chic? Curious as to why you chose the words you did.
On another note, this screams ARTIST to me!
September 4, 2012 at 3:21 pm
I might offer an explanation as to the primitive, as that’s one of the words that came to my mind when I saw the picture. The outfit, the hair that everyone praises (it looks like an out opf control jellyfish or piovra octopus) and that most ‘intriguing’ chain around the neck hardly suggest ‘civilized’ as an epithet.
September 5, 2012 at 2:16 am
I agree. The chain around his neck definitely gives a primitive or at least a “city primitive” effect. Plus the torn edge of the t shirt.

a big difference between the environment and Florentine shot. definitely post grunge style affects how the hairstyle … original, of course …
He reminds me of Lenny Kravitz circa late 80s – early 90s; the last Afro-Bohemian, first neo-Afro-Bohemian.
September 3, 2012 at 9:52 am
i hope he doesn’t try too hard to be so hipstery.
September 5, 2012 at 1:15 pm
He is wearing a t shirt and jeans. Does that seem difficult to you? Maybe try a little harder to sound like you know something.

I sensed cigarette smoke and nice eyebrow are also his style or coordinate.
September 3, 2012 at 11:14 am
This photo is so beautiful, so is the model!
September 3, 2012 at 11:17 am
love this shot- its so natural. His hair is gorgeous. tied up in that scarf. Was he tapping the cigarette as you were taking to photo? Love how the smoke disappears in the middle them ascends at the top top near his shoulders. Love the necklace.
September 3, 2012 at 11:22 am
i am really enjoying the lighting.
September 3, 2012 at 11:32 am

the blue horn
September 3, 2012 at 11:34 am
This image just seems so futuristic. Absolutely love it!
September 3, 2012 at 11:52 am
Be better with a book in his hand instead of a smoke.
September 3, 2012 at 11:59 am
meravigliosi i capelli…e meraviglioso lui…complimenti a mamma, papà ed a lui per lo stile!!!!
September 3, 2012 at 12:00 pm
I love the movement of the cigarette smoke around his neck and up toward his dreads. Beautifully captured. A halo of incense.
September 3, 2012 at 12:02 pm

congratulations to mom, dad and him for the style!!!!!!

September 3, 2012 at 12:20 pm
I’m sure it’s just not cigarettes that he’s smoking- he’s got to be in a band or artistic in some other way
September 3, 2012 at 12:28 pm
Mr. Cool!!! Love the pic and the tee :D
September 3, 2012 at 12:57 pm
There is a delightful minimalist/drapey quality to this man’s style. (But I am rather surprised by the cig. I know, we have been down that road before, so enough said on that issue.) My question is, might the Chanel rule might apply here? Otherwise, let’s hear it for authentic boho grunge.
Awesome. And I just so happen to own the same shirt.
September 3, 2012 at 12:58 pm
So inspirational ! Love this rasta look with an Ibiza party look.

September 3, 2012 at 4:03 pm
This is what I like about this site : never a dull moment !
Yesterday I was admiring the two very stylish, classic gentlemen and today….a futuristic jump !
I’m very impressed by the hair.
September 3, 2012 at 4:23 pm
Rare mix of extremely sexy and still kind-looking. Love everything, even the cigarette (and I usually don’t)
September 3, 2012 at 4:49 pm
September 3, 2012 at 4:52 pm
What a leap from yesterday’s picture of the two stylish and elegant gentlemen to today’s “back to reality” shot. (I like the hair.)
This is what’s intriguing about this site. Never a dull moment !

September 3, 2012 at 6:00 pm
Love the light on the sceane!
September 3, 2012 at 6:51 pm
Beautiful composition, beautiful man…but he is sortta rocking the Afro-boho-grung-ster look a little too deliberately.
September 3, 2012 at 6:52 pm
You are divine!
September 3, 2012 at 6:58 pm
This guy is just so cool-looking. It’s effortless and stylish, yet still slightly eccentric and totally masculine. And the composition is lovely as well.
September 3, 2012 at 6:59 pm
This is such a stunning shot. He’s incredibly handsome. I love the composition of the photo.
September 4, 2012 at 12:19 am

The hair, the chain, the lighter, the cigarette and the hibiscus flower. The stains on his shirt and jeans. And the smoke. Arrrgh! I wish the shot were taken just a few minutes earlier! He looks like being on his smoking break.

dope apparel and over all style.

He is, as they say “Too cool for school.”
September 5, 2012 at 3:12 pm
Indeed; and it shows unfortunately
September 4, 2012 at 1:25 am
Can tattered clothes be called fashion as well? l wonder what is real happening in the fashion industry. I guess it is like they say fashion is all about twisting your ideas to fit whatever you want, it is also all about creativity.
September 4, 2012 at 1:30 am
I like his composition and honestly this guy has got swag, he should consider a career in modelling and fashion because he has got all it takes to be a star.
September 4, 2012 at 1:43 am
Wow! That hairstyle is really hot! I love it, looks so cute and taken good care of. Just fits him and I like the body posture, so strong and shows individuality!
September 4, 2012 at 1:54 am
This photo is epic. Better without the cigarette though :)
September 5, 2012 at 1:12 pm
Nah. he looks absolutely perfect with the cigi. Sexy.
September 4, 2012 at 2:45 am

Cool dude, except for the cigarette. Glad to not see tattoos though…
September 4, 2012 at 9:42 am
Outstanding photo capturing incidental style envied by all who try to actually dress in the morning. The chain, as simple as it is ….well it is the focal point. Wonderful ……
September 4, 2012 at 9:54 am
Why is it difficult for some people to dress modestly? He could use some grooming use. A good fitting suit would allow him much better. Or should I say all this not because it is not friendly? It is the truth.
September 4, 2012 at 11:16 am
Love the “artist look” , it reminds me to Basquiat
September 4, 2012 at 11:59 am
That’s pretty vicious but I like it especially on a good hair day like his.
September 4, 2012 at 12:32 pm
Cool.. looks a little top-heavy though..
September 4, 2012 at 2:08 pm
Aside from the cigarette, this is pure sex. Great shot.
September 4, 2012 at 2:11 pm
Nice, but just say no to the chains please, negative connotations and all that.
September 4, 2012 at 2:13 pm
That is the sickest, most awesome hair I’ve ever seen – it’s almost Rasta Georgian.
September 4, 2012 at 2:31 pm
This is a nice picture! I love your blog, also the idea for making pictures with people on the street. Good work!

es bastante guapo, pero a pesar de que no a todas las personas les viene los dreds, amo cuando lo utilizan con gran estilo como él.
me encantó la cadena (literalmente) en su cuello… sus pulseras, todo.
September 4, 2012 at 5:15 pm
Thanks for all the comments and compliments!
To the critics; Scott took a photo of me, not you.
September 11, 2012 at 5:53 am
yes i dread
October 8, 2012 at 3:13 am
I have the same type of hair as yours. Not too straight but not too frizzy. My dreadlocks look exactly the same as yours (ends and everything) We look almost exactly the same (except that I am 10-15 lbs heavier) and we I looked at the name of the photo, I realized we have the same name
I’m serious. Nice photo and nice dreads, doppelganger
October 8, 2012 at 3:16 am
This is strange. We have
My favorite is the the one where you could use ‘some grooming and a nice fitting suit’ hahaha.
September 4, 2012 at 7:31 pm
cool pic! Manny is not only handsome, he’s super nice and talented too!… His hair was incredible that day, and actually the photo doesn’t do it justice….
September 4, 2012 at 7:34 pm
Is this for real??? I can’t believe people are praising this look. There is no sense of aesthetic in his outfit what so ever! Sorry guys
September 5, 2012 at 2:18 am
He looks great. His clothing looks great. Picture looks great. Seems praiseworthy to me.
September 5, 2012 at 3:38 am
A mess. But a good-looking guy nonetheless.
September 5, 2012 at 5:58 am
This picture is awsome, love the hair and look.
September 5, 2012 at 1:17 pm
Handsome guy, and a really great portrait. I could look at this all day
September 6, 2012 at 12:12 am
swoon! in a perfect world you would have listed his number along with the photo.
September 6, 2012 at 10:51 am
Often when I walk down the streets of a bit city I become visually greedy. The need to turn my head when an interesting pallet of colors flashes by or just a detail on someone’s outfit catches my attention is irresistible. It’s like candy. Defenitely in a city like New York!
I love fashion but I don’t like it as a ‘what’s in fashion’ kind of thing but I like it as a form of art to express your personality.
With blogs you have the time to really analyse an outfit. On the street its just ‘the whole’ that will or will not make me turn my head and catch a blink.
I feel sorry that so many blogs are copies of each other these days and even the street style blogs all shoot people who wear the latest blog-trends.. We are 2012 and we finally have this platform to speak up and acutally get a voice doesn’t matter where you live, or where you’re from. You can be totally anonymous if you’d like and still be heard.
But everybody just plays copycat.
This person on the other hand has such a personal style. I absolutely love this about your blog, you shoot people with personal style and not people dressed according to the latstest trends. Other street style blogs shoot fashion people, you shoot artists.
You’re the first blog I’ve discovered and still my favorite!!
Kisses from Belgium,

September 7, 2012 at 6:43 am
September 7, 2012 at 11:29 am
The hair is beyond awesome! I find it difficult to believe some of the commenters thought this guy “worked” his look too hard. The hair took some time to grow, and the shirt and jeans took quite awhile to achieve their slouch and patina. His look is his own.
September 9, 2012 at 2:33 am
Wahou ! I love this photo! You took the photo at the good time, I love. I enjoy so much the style of this man.
