How sweet and genuine! Love it.
The most beautiful thing’s always when you can feel the closeness, the cumplicity, the “attachment” of the two throught the photograph.

Her Annie-Hall-style nonchalance and his outfit, all of it, from untied ascot to green-laced shoes, make my style-loving heart go boom.

How cute is this??? Honestly, the way she’s looking at him and his adorable smile is heartwarming. Love their outfits so much. They go together so sweetly. Like two bookends that complement each other perfectly. I hope lace up shoes for women stay in style a long time. They’re comfy and chic.
Well done, reminds me of the album cover for Dylan’s Freewheelin’.

Strangely, like many people in the comments above, the element that catches the most my attention in this photo are the bright green shoelaces, maybe it’s the contrast with the red shoes. A little touch of eccentricity!
January 19, 2012 at 12:16 pm
I can see why loads of people wear camel coats – they’re easy and smart etc but ……. their appeal is just lost on me!
January 19, 2012 at 12:30 pm
I love the green shoe laces in his shoes!
January 19, 2012 at 12:34 pm

They’re outfits look so cute together, and I love the fun detail the man has on his shoes; the green shoe laces on the red shoes that you don’t notice at first.

such a beautiful photo!
January 19, 2012 at 2:20 pm
Pretty typical shot of the way I dress vs. the men I’m with… the men always have the best subtle pop of color whereas I am the reigning neutral queen! What a happy shot.
January 19, 2012 at 2:23 pm
his look is so cool. love the detail of his shoelaces being bright teal!
January 19, 2012 at 2:43 pm
the shine, the perfect geometry, the lines, the color of the pavement. simply adds to the chiqueness of the couple and the charming photo :)

January 19, 2012 at 10:42 pm
It’s hard to suppress a smile when you look at such unabashed love, especially on the woman’s face! Their body language speaks volumes about their regard for one another–this uncensored moment of such a private happiness is timless!

January 20, 2012 at 8:11 am
I just love the laces….. wonderful!
January 20, 2012 at 8:43 am
Both of them seem to radiate human decency and kindness, as well as stylishness. It’s a sort of “wholesome chic”–Ralph Lauren translated into Italian. I love it, and it makes me wonder why looking good so often means looking “bad,” looking “fierce,” looking haughty and forbidding. Three cheers for looking happy! (and wearing elegant menswear)
January 20, 2012 at 9:54 am
LOVE the shoelaces! I have an older pair of ox-blood colored shoes that are getting the “pop of color” treatment once I hit return.
January 20, 2012 at 10:17 am

January 20, 2012 at 4:00 pm
I agree with ‘Kim’ – a heartwarming, honest, unaffected shot of two beautiful (internally and externally) human beings in love that makes me smile from ear to ear. They also look great but that seems incidental and a lovely extra. Thanks for making my day.
January 20, 2012 at 4:35 pm
I love how her knee is bent and touching him. Such a small and imtimate gesture. Puts her a little off balence and he is there to stabilize her. A very nice moment. And I love women in “menswear”.
January 20, 2012 at 6:52 pm
just lovely! their faces impart sweetness and content…
January 20, 2012 at 8:52 pm
cute photo. and really liking the long coats!!

January 21, 2012 at 10:12 am

January 23, 2012 at 4:08 am
What a nice shot. I love how they look so relaxed and happy. Very nice style on both of them. Love the little details that make all the difference, making the man’s look simple, yet not ordinary (which is the motto I try to live by)…
January 23, 2012 at 10:15 am
does anybody know the brand and model of the shoe the man is wearing
January 23, 2012 at 10:29 am

January 24, 2012 at 3:02 pm
The guy’s shoes come from the Italian brand Testoni but they were customized by Mr Paolo, a very special Italian gentlemen passionate in fashion.
He personally added the green laces and the black polish on the shoe tip, which give the shoe a classic yet stylish twist.
Mr Paolo owns a cosy vintage shop in Northern Italy, called Corso 109 and he creates similar shoes on demand. See his facebook fan page here http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Corso-109/274951735879862.
If you want to contact him you can write to his assistant Giulia at the following email address [email protected]

Finally. This is the first time a man-on-the-street hasn’t looked pretentious and self-aware for months. And months.
Plus they’re smiling. Like the rest of us.
People looking natural and at ease. I guess that’s radical.
