Too late… We already do ! ;-D
August 3, 2011 at 8:52 am
So jealous! Love the shorts.
She looks cute, I would not say that she was fourteen, defiantly very young though.
There is confidence in her look, tha. Like, she defiantly seems to be a great fit in the fashion industry and if she can have an early start that is even better.
The picture is beautiful, and bold and to the point.
August 3, 2011 at 8:54 am
That’s who I aspire to be like when I grow up!
August 3, 2011 at 8:56 am
What the what?!
August 3, 2011 at 8:59 am
I’m not at all jealous, I enjoyed not having adult responsibilities during the summer of my 14th year- jamming out to Britney Spears and experimenting with tacky covergirl makeup. Childhood can never be replaced!

The bag is really cute. It pops in this photo.
August 3, 2011 at 9:19 am
she is beautiful

August 3, 2011 at 9:20 am
The bag makes it. So savvy for 14.
Great! It’s true… she looks a little bit older than she actually is, but who cares? She definitely has a classy style, and anyway..when you are trying to make it in this industry, you have to look at your best, even if this means a little bit older!..
August 3, 2011 at 9:38 am
Awww she’s so lucky !

August 3, 2011 at 9:52 am
She so nice and so chic so confidence in Mark Jacobs !!
August 3, 2011 at 9:53 am
Very cute. At such a young age she has began to develop her own effortless style .
August 3, 2011 at 10:00 am
Wow, she scored one GREAT job! Her outfit is really cute!!
August 3, 2011 at 10:06 am
She is darling. Not many can get away with wearing those little “bloomers” shorts.

August 3, 2011 at 10:11 am
It will inspire the style in my country especially for teenager
August 3, 2011 at 10:22 am
I’m jealous of her bag :)
August 3, 2011 at 10:40 am
Super sweet! Am such a fan of her shorts!
Just a Silhouette
August 3, 2011 at 10:41 am
Lovely ruffles on her shorts. And what a mature style for someone her age. It must be that internship…
August 3, 2011 at 10:56 am
I like her because she’s young and ambitious
August 3, 2011 at 11:17 am
This girl is everything I love about New York City. This level of effortless style, the fact that a 14 year old in this city can work at Marc Jacobs…
August 3, 2011 at 11:20 am
Ok, for once someone dressed like a 14 year old who actually is 14. Appropriate and chic (aren’t those the same thing, usually?)
August 3, 2011 at 11:28 am
Cute, except for the hair, I don’t like the black regrow!
August 3, 2011 at 11:30 am
She looks older… and sad.
And when I was 14 I had more fun things to do than worry about my outfit and deal with an internship.
August 3, 2011 at 11:40 am
How is she that cool at 14? I swear i was still obsessed with horses at 14 I’m major jealous she looks so pretty and her bag is gorgeous and her shoes are so cute :D
Ashley from The I on Fashion
Wow, she’s only 14?! She definitely dresses for her age. She looks very graceful and innocent. Good for her for doing what she loves at an early age!

August 3, 2011 at 11:43 am
omg, she’s a lucky little girl!! and looks great!
August 3, 2011 at 11:46 am
Good for her! Awesome opportunity.
August 3, 2011 at 11:47 am
So much for innocence.
August 3, 2011 at 11:59 am
amazing, 4 years ago she was a little 10-year old girl, barely old enough to cross the street by herself. it always startles me how much we change during those precious few years from childhood to adolescence.
August 3, 2011 at 12:03 pm
Absolutely positively charming. There is not a thing wrong with doing what you love at any age. That being said I am so relieved I did not continue on in macrame, spider-plant propagation and baking for my stoned older brother and friends. If only I’d grown up in New York!

August 3, 2011 at 12:08 pm
She looks so cool. Marc Jacobs! Wow!
August 3, 2011 at 12:10 pm
kind of an odd headline….that said, yes, i do find it very interesting when parents at great companies are able to create great opportunities for their kin. happy for the tweens and their chance to learn responsibility. weighted by the way that power is handed on.
nonetheless, i hope that she is able to really rock the house while she’s there and make the most of it!
August 3, 2011 at 12:17 pm
Why hate her? Really nice outfit although I’m puzzled by the neutral, old-fashioned colour of her shoes. She may be too young for that colour.
August 3, 2011 at 12:21 pm
A fashionista in the making, a chic one at that. Already her sense of style is there. I’m happy that she is an intern at Marc Jacobs. Albeit some peeps think that she might be missing out on her childhood, however, maybe being an intern at MJ is, in her eyes, equivalent to playing marbles, tag, hide’n seek & hopscotch. Rather, she’ll be playing with textiles, fabrics, accessories, and the like. Plus, she’s beautiful to boot. Good for her. I can’t wait to see her very first collection.
She looks like a chic, sweet girl. I think the reason she looks older is that her eyes are tired. Pro/con.
August 3, 2011 at 12:45 pm
I don’t hate her but I am fully jealous! How did she score that gig?
August 3, 2011 at 12:54 pm
Oh, really??? reallly?? fourteen??? FOURTEEEN?? … good lord what has she been eating?, I was n0t that slender at fourteen, in fact I was more like a brick shape (and had that ‘cheeky’ teenager fat), and she looks like she’s older, where is the cheeky teenager fat?? =S
At 21, I can say I’m slender and pretty and stylish thanks to you Scott and Garance, but she looks amazing at just 14. Amen.
August 3, 2011 at 12:57 pm
Only a 14 yr old could pull off those bloomers…and yes, I am totally jelly!
August 3, 2011 at 1:11 pm
so reminds me of our beloved sue lyon (lolita) circa 1962 who was also 14 when kubrick filmed her… nice pict
August 3, 2011 at 1:14 pm
don’t hate her but i m envious ;great picture ,love her confidence
August 3, 2011 at 1:24 pm
It’s hard not to!
August 3, 2011 at 1:29 pm
OMG, how can we not hate her!! 14!? what the…!?

Lovely everything! Quite a style for 14 year old, so classy and cute!
August 3, 2011 at 2:00 pm
Sorry, I have to HATE…out of jealousy. lol
August 3, 2011 at 2:17 pm
Wonder if they need a 43 yr old intern?
August 3, 2011 at 2:20 pm
What a great bag!
August 3, 2011 at 2:25 pm
i love the shoes and the especially the pink bag, the style does totally work.
I love her bag! Which is the brand? Thanks!!!
August 3, 2011 at 2:36 pm
OMG? Is she? 14 years old? Where will she be in 5 years??
She seems nice, but tired…
Regards from Barcelona!
August 3, 2011 at 3:28 pm
She looks slightly scared… almost like she’s aware that she’s about to be chased by a crowd of angry women clutching Marc Jacobs accessories as weapons… I’ll be somewhere at the back eating a cake and laughing at the whiskers on my mouse shoes… they’re shoes and they have whiskers, oh Marc, what will you think of next!
whattttt?? Lucky girl! but at the same time she’s missing out on childhood.. I honestly didn’t beleive she was 14!
August 3, 2011 at 4:31 pm
Wow, off to a great start in every way. Kids like her always get far. She isn’t missing out on anything. At 14 its great if she already has ambition and is willing to learn to manage her time and effort. It will only make the rest of her life better. You can tell she is smart and not has a mind of her own already.
August 3, 2011 at 4:33 pm
And great oes, of course.
August 3, 2011 at 4:42 pm
I’m confused on whether to hate, love, or envy her…the one thing im not confused about is how fabulous her outfit is!
August 3, 2011 at 5:05 pm
Lilly’s reaction is priceless!!!! :)
When I was fourteen, I was eating cheesies, wearing lumpy Daniel Hechter sweat shirts with puffed sleeves (it was the 80s), big scrunchies in my spiral-permed hair, and baggy tapered pants from Le Chateau (fab Canadian store and still in business).
To my credit, though, I was practising the piano for hours a day and making the honour roll. (Yes, I have a Tiger Mother.)
August 3, 2011 at 6:13 pm
I am hating overtime! And I’m in my 30s! AAUGH!
August 3, 2011 at 6:14 pm
The photo is pretty , the thing I like the most is the pink and red handbag, no doubt. The look is quite simple but the ballerinas are too old for her, I would say.
Intern at marc jacobs?? Doing what? I guess it’s a summer job or whatever, I am not the person to envy anyone actually, I love doing my stuff.
August 3, 2011 at 6:40 pm
I can’t hate on a 14 year old. I thought a 5 dollar t-shirt and 8 dollar pants were the world’s coolest clothes at that age. I was happy and paid for it myself!
August 3, 2011 at 7:00 pm
I don’t hate her, but I do love her little bloomers and cute shoes!
August 3, 2011 at 7:41 pm
Well, naturally I hate her because I’m 21 and can’t find any kind of job–who got her that position? Probably the same person who’s buying her clothes for her…
That said, having nice clothes is completely different from wearing them properly, so kudos to her for having actual STYLE rather than being trendy at such a ripe age.
August 3, 2011 at 7:54 pm
Fantastic sense of style at such a young age. I bet we will be hearing about her down the road.
August 3, 2011 at 7:57 pm
what a beautiful and lucky girl! i love her young style- those bloomers were made for a girl like her! perfect :)
August 3, 2011 at 8:31 pm
14?!? If she continues in fashion, she’s gonna buuurned out by the time she’s 25. Believe me, I’m in it. I know.
Go play!!! Fashion will be here for you when you’re older…!

August 3, 2011 at 10:04 pm
How can you hate.. she is the Future!
August 3, 2011 at 10:14 pm
Good night. What I would give to be in her shoes at a ripe old twenty-five.
August 3, 2011 at 10:41 pm
oh my,, well shes lucky,, but we already hate her
August 3, 2011 at 10:52 pm
Oh, she’s pretty!!!
August 3, 2011 at 11:01 pm
I don’t hate her but I am weary of young children being treated like adults. No 14 year old needs an internship anywhere! Personally I don’t think 14 year olds should be wearing expensive Marc Jacobs either.
Lately very young girls like Elle Fanning (age 13) are being featured in magazines wearing a lot of makeup and hundreds of dollars worth of designer clothing.
Sorry, it’s just wrong to me.
August 4, 2011 at 12:01 am
kudos to her for the fabulous internship and kudos to her for pulling off the hard-to-flatter bloomers shorts.
green with envy, love it.
August 4, 2011 at 12:08 am
this girl looks just like my 21-year-old daughter who also appears to be only 14. AND she’s wearing the bloomers said daughter has been hunting for ever since she saw them at TARGET three years ago. the bloomers that inspired the name of her blog: http://carespantaloons.blogspot.com/2010/08/sketchy-black-red-and-vandalized.html
August 4, 2011 at 12:33 am
uhhh how did she even land that internship!? dang. that’s what I wanna know. She’s obviously doing something right.
August 4, 2011 at 1:28 am
Gosh! SERIOUSLY? Hating… O_O
August 4, 2011 at 3:11 am
That is what’s up !
Good for her :)
August 4, 2011 at 4:38 am
Great style, it’s good she started so early to be passionate in something and to show her talent…but I find ridicolous a 14 y o girl doing such a kind of intership, it’s not just a summer job like picking the fruit at a grandmom farm, it’s real business, it’s something too serious, youth never comes back again…
August 4, 2011 at 5:21 am
Love those shorts ! They are such a fine line between looking tacky and looking cute ! She definately carries the cute look …
Well done for the new site !! But to be honest, I miss the old one as well ;-) …
August 4, 2011 at 6:14 am
she doesn’t look like she’s comfortable with whom she is.

August 4, 2011 at 6:28 am
I also agree… kudos for a very hard worker!
IS THIS IT? models review
August 4, 2011 at 7:19 am
World need more 14yo girl like this one I guess.
PS and btw: and could anyone hate her? it’s practically impossible – whatever she’d do in fact… :)
August 4, 2011 at 9:10 am
Wow, she definitely deserves that intern position. Her outfit is great, those shorts and shoes are so stylish. I never look this good…
August 4, 2011 at 9:27 am
Poor pretty girl.
She should enjoy her youth and leave Marc Jacobs for later
August 4, 2011 at 10:26 am
August 4, 2011 at 12:42 pm
Wow, did this little girl dressed herself? So talented!
August 4, 2011 at 2:02 pm
Oh, I don’t hate her! I’m just very, very jealous (and kind of want to be her best friend so she can get me an internship there)! What a great opportunity! Why didn’t I have an internship at Marc Jacobs at age 14?!? Ah… that’s right, I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin.
I love how her style has a great balance of sophistication and young, feminine elements, like the purse, watch and ruffles at the bottom of her shorts.
August 4, 2011 at 4:08 pm
14 and with bags under her eyes…. Party on, little sister!
August 4, 2011 at 6:03 pm
She looks tired.
August 4, 2011 at 6:29 pm
I’d like to be in her shoes for at least one hour… She is chic yet comfortable and that “careless” look really boosts her youth.
August 5, 2011 at 1:36 am
What a beauty – she looks great. Love the contrast of the black and white, especially the shirt tails hanging out, offset with a lovely pink handbag.
August 5, 2011 at 8:22 am
I just love your caption for this photo. You’ve made me desperate to know who she is!
I adore your blog, you have the most wondeful eye for style!
August 5, 2011 at 8:39 am
The 4 photos I’ve just looked at feature black and white clothes. Perhaps it’s the undecided weather but I don’t see any of the brights around that are all over the weekly fashion magazines. Perhaps it’s always more stylish to follow the fashions less and stick to the classics. Love the bag x
August 5, 2011 at 4:01 pm
sooo jealous! great for her though! 14, well dressed (love the purse!) , and interning at marc jacobs. i can only hope to work somewhere like that in 20 years! i rally wish i had an amazing internship like that. lucky girl!
August 5, 2011 at 5:54 pm
How in the world did she become an intern at
August 5, 2011 at 5:59 pm
thanks a lot
August 5, 2011 at 6:02 pm
Ohhh, c’mon… Srsly, you do think there is anything cool about 14 years old acting like 20? It’s sad. Internship? Please, sounds like the Industrial Revolution and kids working since they were ten. She will have her whole adult life for wearing Marc Jacobs and having internships and work. Now she should wear Snoopy H&M t-shirt, read Twilight, and have a holiday crush on some boy. And be careless.
August 5, 2011 at 9:52 pm
Um, may I point out that interns in the US fashion industry generally don’t get paid? If this were a pic of an Indian child working for free in that country’s fashion industry there’d be cries of slave labour.
August 5, 2011 at 10:11 pm
We dont, She just knows someone, or her parents do. The beauty of connections
August 5, 2011 at 10:32 pm
If she’s doing the internship because she really has a passion for fashion and took the initiative to “make it happen”, then I am very happy for her
If she would rather be out at the mall, hanging with her friends, then I feel sorry for her. I tend to believe that at 14 yrs old, she got the internship through some type of family ‘connection’, in which case—She’ll only be 14 once, she’s got 7 or 8 more years to take on the responsibilities of an internship.
August 6, 2011 at 12:21 am
14 years!!!!!!!!OMG !!! Wish nobody look like this at their teens. 35 yers thats true)))
August 6, 2011 at 12:46 am
When I as 14, Marc Jacobs was in “dream list”, not in my wardrobe. I don’t hate her, she is too pretty for, I’m just jealous :)
August 6, 2011 at 4:05 am
LOL! If she was working part time taking care of animals at the local veterinarian office everyone would be writing how wonderful that was, and not saying how she should be at a mall with her friends. Such hypocrisy. In fact when I was 14 I worked after school as a landscaper’s assistant. My sister worked after school at a body shop (she loved it, and now details cars and bikes for good money) at 13. It still gives you PLENTY of time to shop, talk on the phone to friends, and get your homework done. If you have kids, then you know that NO ONE is as fashion conscious as a typical 14 yr old girl. Kids that age care more about their clothing then most adults. My 12yr old niece actually cried because she went to a new school not knowing how they dressed there and the VERY mean comments that landed on her. So don’t worry about this forcing her to be fashionable too soon.
August 6, 2011 at 8:04 am
I don’t hate her cause she’s gorgeous. But I really envy her :)
August 6, 2011 at 8:32 am
so adorable! love the pop of pink!
August 6, 2011 at 9:07 am
OMG, 14-year-old internat Marc Jacobs?? I don’t hate her, I love this. Fabulous!!
August 6, 2011 at 12:36 pm
Seriously! I don’t hate her, I think that’s fantastic. What great drive and poise.
August 6, 2011 at 12:39 pm
Good for her!
August 6, 2011 at 1:47 pm
I can’t believe she’s only 14! thats insane. Love her outfit.
August 6, 2011 at 2:52 pm
I think she dresses very classy – adorable combination with the shorts and bag – but she looks like she hasn’t slept in days.
August 6, 2011 at 7:45 pm
umm… i think i will anyway. good lord. i’m jealous. she’s 2/3 my age and already has my dream job.

What. How is that possible! I won’t hate her, but I will be incredibly jealous.
August 6, 2011 at 10:57 pm
I’m fifteen and this is such an awesome picture. I am EXTREMELY jealous haha but I love that you posted a picture of a girl close to my age. Thank you.
August 7, 2011 at 8:40 pm
I HATE HER ALREADY! How’d she get a spot? Dammit!
August 8, 2011 at 7:21 am
Such a shame she already dyes her hair – detracts from her otherwise fresh youth…
August 8, 2011 at 3:14 pm
I hate her because this bag is amazing and I ‘ll never find one like this in my country =/
August 9, 2011 at 12:02 pm
She does look really chic and effortless but I have to hate this lucky lady..she’s 14 and interning at Marc Jacobs!
August 9, 2011 at 10:32 pm
I am ABSOLUTELY jealous. But thanks for the warning though.
August 10, 2011 at 12:48 pm
I love her shoes and bag!

August 11, 2011 at 9:29 pm
I’m sure it’s already been said but her Ferragamo’s are adorable. And I’m sorry, but I kind of hate her… :)

September 15, 2011 at 8:03 pm
I love you Ruby! She does have a summer life! At the best place in the world…
September 15, 2011 at 8:13 pm
RUBY!!!! it’s char from ky and i wanted to comment on my long lost bff awesome photo. i love you, ya movie star
September 27, 2011 at 2:40 pm
I saw her in the subway the other day with another friend of hers (about her age) Boy, does she catch your eye! It’s an odd combination, the level of sophistication (effortless chic) in her age. It wasn’t until half min. later did I realize that she was a teenage girl.
June 6, 2012 at 8:56 am
Very Cool. always good to start at the top
