I am not a big fans of this type of dress. It’s a bit lengthy or bulky for asians. Therefore, you really need to match it with high heels or high heels boots.

Pleats have come such a long way! So many different kinds. The green one in the middle is also my favorite – not only on the muse pictured but for myself. The way they are stitched down at the hips was a genius idea.

I was so excited about being able to finally wear pleats this year, I had to write about it: http://thestyletti.com/pleats/

They are the true femininity! xo

Love pleated skirts–they’re so graceful and visually intriguing (all that play of shadow and texture). I still have a few of my favorites from the late ’80s/early ’90s in the closet… to me, they’re classics that transcend trends.

Love the black-green-red combo! That green skirt is amazing, and this lady has done a great job finding the perfect matching colors and pieces, they just all go together so flawlessly! Her bag is also gorgeous..brava!

This orangy-redish skirt is the most interesting skirt I have seen in a long time! This beautiful lady nailed down the perfect fall look! <3

Never mind those pleats (which are very nice – I had a skirt in sixth grade with those skinny pleats…) Let’s talk about that t-shirt!! LOVE it :^)

How I love this playful fun of the first uniform. It requires lean line–no excess of flesh but pure model behavior.
    Second, green and red–is right.

I love pleats, but not on me. They don’t work on my petite and curvy body.

I still can’t get into the socks and sandal thing, on myself or anyone.

Everyone else saw the pleats. I saw the tshirt with the outsider art or kid’s art. Cool.

These looks aren’t about the pleats but the socks and sandals I think.

What an insanely pretty shade of green, and with the red shoes. I like pleats, though it has to be the right type of material. This looks good.

Your photos make every hideous trend (i.e. socks with old lady sandals) look beautiful and artsy.

The first skirt reminds me of a cupcake liner…..adorable. Definitely, pulling out the socks/sandals arsenal this fall/winter…. =)~ xo

I love these skirts, but unfortunately they only look great on tall and slim women. The socks in the first/last picture are a perfect match: love it!

Love the return of pleats. The green skirt is to die for. One way to wear pleats , if you’re not blessed with a lean and tall body, is to find a skirt with a wide waistband so the pleats start at your hips. Very forgiving and quite attractive.

Fabulous idea to photograph just skirts without the tops. Beautiful movement in the picture of the olive green skirt. Such graceful walk and the red heals are a perfect combination.

I am absolutely in love with the pleat look. Pleats have the ability to add so much texture, depth, and movement to the garment and fabric. The post illustrates different uses of pleats with patterned fabric, sequined textured fabric, and plain satin. Pleats really have the ability to dress any look up. Overall I’m obsessed with the trend.

Have an infatuation with olive green at the moment. The first girl…when it comes to hair, anything beyond the breast is superfluous, on anyone! Just my opinion.
