The word “effortless” doesn’t come to mind. I’ll pass.

Thank you- I was looking for a similarly elegant wording.

I absolutely hate the word “effortless”, no matter what you wear it takes effort to get up and get dressed every morning or to change in to evening wear or change into sweats and a tee-shirt.

I’m not at all sure about “faux”, RJH de la Haye!

Joanne…that fur sure isn’t faux…presumably, the lady only goes for the real McCoy!

I love it. Its certainly not fussy, the individual pieces are all gorgeous. and I love how she paired the beautiful fur coat with those sneakers. I will take inspiration from this one. Its so great to see the cool mix of high and low, and the pretty outcome.

Just saying you don’t like it would probably have been more…effortless. I like her look.

I understand that autumn weather can be unpredictable, but it seems that if it is chilly enough for knee socks and fur, then perhaps lace cut out pants might be too breezy….

I think fur is one of the sexiest things a woman can wear, just not with those pants, shoes, socks and hat.

    • Joesephine

      November 7, 2016 at 8:13 pm

For me fur is especially right with those shoes. I might have swapped it for a regular pair of jeans, but its still cool. The only time fur looks wrong is when you give it a “going to the opera” effect with high heels and a dress. I mean why would anyone wear a fur coat, and shoes that can only be worn in nice weather? So completely silly. But interesting to see all the different thoughts, yeah?

Oh. It must be Europe. Sweet.

    • joanne

      November 9, 2016 at 3:29 pm

You’re American, right? Many Americans talk about Europe as if it were one single, homogenuous country, which is weird. Sweden is sooo different from Italy, Rumania has very little in common with England, France is not at all like Poland or Greece. The cultural and ethnic heritages differ vastly, Romans, Greeks, Germanic and Mongolian peoples, just to name a few, are among the forebears of us “Europeans”. So what would you say is typically European?!

    • maudie

      November 10, 2016 at 5:14 am

Hmm. ‘Europe’ is actually a large collection of countries and not one place all with very different styles. Would I compare, say, New York to Pennsylvania?

This outfit is everything! I love it!! I actually don’t read the comments of your blog anymore because I don’t like the negative comments people leave when they don’t like an outfit. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, of course, but it irks me that someone took the time out of their day to leave a negative comment about a photo they don’t like…? Seems a waste to me and I don’t like what they contribute to this beautiful site of different people and their differing styles. I guess I can just see beauty and effort and style in each and every one of your posts, even if I don’t necessarily “like” what the person has chosen to adorn their own body with. Anywho, here’s a positive comment to add to the mix! :)

That’s a bold fashion statement! The attire exudes confidence and swankiness. The brown fur compliments the look. Love the embroidery on those blue pants! It’s a win!

Does anyone know where she bought those jeans? They are amazing and I have never seen a piece like that before.
