Have not been around The Satorialists blog for years…I would love to see him move out of his photographing comfort zone…and focus his eye and lens towards other fashionable types out there….I love his style,do not get me wrong..but it is all so predictable and not that surprising.
I do think his blog has evolved. There is definitely what he used to do but now he writes! I am so happy that he decided to do that because among all the streetstyle photographers, I do feel his eye is different. You may have seen this picture now but please, dig a little bit more, there are definitely pictures where he is not in his comfort zone. The fact he writes is so important to me because we live in such a visual words that we don’t take time to look properly. There are not many photographers putting into words WHY they decided to photograph someone so I found this step really important.
Ciao Emmanuelle…I will dig a little deeper but,not too deep…I prefer to look forward and see new things develop…I am all for the new and out with the old…you do make good points…btw I had a peek at your blog…keep up the good work!
I understand your point too for not digging too much. That would be so great if he did another book to gather all the most relevant and different images he shot to make it simpler ;). I maybe perceived the difference because I own his two books.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I just started again so it’s great to have positive feedback like yours.
I can tell that you have indeed NOT been following this blog for you to say something so completely wrong. Scott has not only a wide range in fashion photo, anything from a workman’s on job uniform to the classic organic stylishness we see here, to the latest it items( although he doesn’t do that so much) but often goes beyond fashion and photographs other things that impress him. However, OF COURSE he has his preferences, and that is exactly how it should be.
She is perfect. Her shoes? Not so much. The shiny fabric makes her feet look like circles, but I’m sure they cannot be that wide. It’s an optical illusion. Better with flat sandals or a ballet flat in a non-shiny material.
I absolutely love this look. Tw0-piece outfits are definitely in right now and I don’t think they are going out of style anytime soon. The look is all over the runway and celebrities are also loving this style. I think the use of the jean material/ texture is what makes this two-piece look even more mezmerizing. With the jean piece and her velvet flats, she is ready to take the city streets. This is absolutely a look that I will be recreating and probably already have in my closet. I love this!
I love the Jean outfit it is so lovely, the shoulderless upper piece makes it look so fashionable. She wears stg very in but has her own stylish touch. The bag color matches so well, but bag you cannot see so well the shape.
