I love the masculine jacket and baseball hat paired with the super cute heel. It’s a combo I really haven’t seen before. Makes me want to go buy some baseball hats…
Very cool look. I love the pairing of the masculine elements of the coat and cap with the sleek ankle length pants (they conjure Audrey Hepburn) and gorgeous platform sandals.
She’s mastered the mix of tomboy swag with feminine touches. I love the incredible shoes paired with the baseball hat and layers… unbelievable. I want to be wearing this now!
A study in contrasts, great style! And I always love blue and black together. Then, the details: zippered sleeves, white shirt under the sweater. It looks thrown together in the coolest way.
As I started to scroll down from the top, I thought, “meh”, until I saw the SHOES!!!! Taking off the cap and tossing her hair up into a loose bun would be a drastic improvement, as she truly is quite chic.
what a cool look – amazing at it seems – the hat matches the sandals perfectly.
If you start looking at this outfit from top to bottom or from feet up (looking through the camera lance) you wouldn’t expect finding each item on the other end – but the hole picture just works.
This look is so powerful for some reason. No makeup, the sleeves rolled up, and the ankle pants. Underneath, a combination of loose layers over tight pants. But everything fits well nonetheless.
I thought on a whole that she’s wearing to much blue; the picture was a bit of a drab, but then I got to those shoe’s…OMG. I want them, even if I could only wear them, for a few minutes.
Went down to NK today to get my book signed.. turns out you left early which made me quite disappointed since I have been admiring your site for some time.
what’s most striking (in a good way) is her lack of makeup. It would be great to see some finds in a non-urban area, off the beaten path, where finding good fashion is a challenge. It’s definitely there though.
I agree with Lizpr, about hair up. Without the op-shop coat and baseball cap with hair in a loose bun on top, she would look outstanding to me! Lovely smile.
Great blog thanks, this is a much more enriching time-waster than facebook!

I’m definitely loving this. She’s donning this rich-beggar-inspired sort of style which in my viewpoint, very bold move, experimental. genius and chic.
I love the outfit, especially the shoes which make it work. Showing the ankle is so sexy. But its too hot to wear a coat here. Im jealous. I wish it was colder here.
It’s raining, or just finished, which explains the choice of the hat and coat. Imagine living with this woman. At home her hair was up, and you knew what she looked like under that coat and hat, which makes it hard to breathe. But the coat and hat were a necessity, the hair had to come down, and another aspect of who she is and what it looks like came forward. Lucky you.

Great pants and shoes. Are the pants purple? I think I would like the outfit a lot more without the jacket. It kind of blocks the rest of the style.

Lucky you.
