I love this dress – very simple and classy. I also like the deliberate black-bra-under-white thing – that works with a white tank top, too. The shoes are too clunky, though – those shoes would look great with rolled up jeans and button-down shirt.
Her glasses are funky I like them. I could never wear something as see through as that, but I have to admit that it looks great, it almost makes me want to try something like it.
And to wear shoes like that wit that outfit, she is miss confidence, and miss I do not care all rolled into one.
Really nice post.
I like the sheer dress with the little black collar. I would probably never wear anything that sheer, but it looks good with the black bra. I wonder if that’s partly because the bra doesn’t look too bra-like. (No straps). Half the fun of people watching is seeing dresses like this. If we all dressed in jeans in tee-shirts it wouldn’t be any fun at all.
how did you crop out the two black men on the left of the frame? the all over print ensemble in brown tones? and something like a green houndstooth jacket? if those trump chiffon dress with black bra showing they at least par
I would never ever wear a black bra under something so white, really. It doesn’t look so bad after all but I think the shoes are ugly and not adapt for the silk dress; the sunglasses are weird, I prefer them rectangular and colored, i don’t like them here. Even if I don’t like these things, I generally don’t mind all the look! It’s really got something french!
I love the black bra under the sweet white sheer dress. Very sexy and classy. I adore pleats. The sunglasses are amazing. I am glad people are now done with the larger more square ones. Its nice to have a change, and small round glasses are so interesting and edgy. The shoes give some needed edge. If one were to wear this as expected; Like with light colored neutral, sleek shoes, nude colored bra and unbuttoned by the neck, it would be cutsey and dull. The purse adds interest too. She has made an amazing outfit out of a nice but un remarkable dress. Perfection!
I agree that this outfit seems futuristic and quite robotic. Maybe sunglasses ,that remember the aviators’ ones, give this impression. Nothing to say, you always share something original like no others do.
I think it’s hilarious that I just gave into the oversized “Jackie O” style sunglasses, and now it is evident from “the blogs” that the trend is going back to the smaller 90′s style. Oh, well. It will take a while for the trend to trickle down to my neck of the woods.
I have always wanted the Balenciaga first city bag, in black. I am thinking about getting one as my ‘push present’ (due in 2 weeks), so I love seeing it being used still! It looks v relevant and fresh here.
I love this. It is possibly my favourite of all your captures. Unexpected old school street style sunglasses and shoes work so well in contrast to her lady-like dress. But they also blend seamlessly as futuristic robotic chic. A woman with style, grace and imagination. And a stunning waist line…
Pause . . . Cafe! Glad it’s still around. The cafe, and the neighborhood when it was still undergoing the metamorphosis of gentrification, are featured in a lovely Cedric Klapisch film, Chacun cherche son chat. Highly recommend it.
I’m sure somebody already mentioned this, but she is from http://fashionvibe-blog.blogspot.com/ Love her style, very unique, but also classy. I think what I like most is that she is very fit and thin, but often she wears these big billowing dresses or blouses. Her style is very refreshing.
I am not a big fan of see through clothes, since I don’t think showing your underwear looks classy. Anyways, I find this dress very cute, though I would wear it with a nude or white bra. I really dislike the shoes, I’d prefer neutral heels and another type of bag in another colour.
I agree with the one who said she looks like Charlotte from Sex & The City!
Actually love this look and the two contrasting themes; how the dress is so pretty and sheer while the accessories portray something completely diffrent, while some people have said the black makes the outfit look cheap and less beautiful i think it gives it more of an edge and exitement. Love it xox
That is my favourite street in Paris. There’s something about its charm that made me fall in love with it. If you turn around you will come across a cafe called “Pause Cafe”. This is my absolute must, for anyone that asks me what makes me happy in Paris.
