On the Street…Prince St., New York

2817jj1124

Can’t believe this was just last week!

Something interesting I heard yesterday from Jenny¬†and recently from Phil Oh¬†(two people who are very good at creating colorful outfits) is that they both “know their color palette”.

This idea that they instinctually know what shades and hues of color that they like and buy.

For instance, Jenny loves green/blue combos and put together this outfit with items bought (mostly vintage) over the last three years.

Like a photograph, the outfits seem to develop over time.

Jenny Walton, the lady in the photo. A very stylish and elegant fashion illustrator. Google her, it is totally worth it!

Charikleia…thank you…it’s not as if I’m horse and buggy…but there are so many fabulously stylish ladies out there, that there’s no keeping up…Jenny’s truly in a league all her own…understated modern chic combined with lots of allure!

I agree, to the third power! Jenny Walton is highly gifted in drawing. And a woman with elegant, individual style.

I love blue and green combined, and I always love what Jenny puts together, and I like seeing Jenny through Scott’s eyes.

I wanna dress like Jenny when I grow up! Seriously now, this is beyond time and fashion (it is basically the shoes that give a contemporary tone) and I love it.

And the photo just rocks (the yellow of the taxi against the greens)

Looks to me to be a poor match between the shoes and coat. Shoes look to be summery and the coat appears to be suede??

Isn’t that the best? I absolutely love combinations that include summer different seasons, like a fur coat and sandals, or a scarf with t shirt and shorts, Its so sensual.

Summer shoes and a coat. Shock horror!
But. Is that not the point of taxis and indoor heating and air con.
Wear what one wants when one wants.
    Isn’t modern life great.

There is a diference between vintage and old fashioned, I think.
    This jacket is old fashioned.

I love everything about her outfit and her location. Her green, blue and white patterned dress is a perfect choice for the Spring weather that is showing up in New York. What perfectly ties the outfit together is not the olive green overcoat but the white heels with the green and blue floral print and the white flower earrings she is wearing. This outfit is elegant and girly, my favorite.
