Uhhh… she often has me scratching my head, then generally buying it, but not this time. Might be better from the front, tho love seeing the zipper. Is it neoprene? The bag or the shoes should come closer to matching the dress – or maybe each other… I’ll keep looking at it – maybe I’ll finally get it.
I agree. I often WANT to be in awe of this obviously favourite, stunning and popular woman. But, somehow I feel her personal style has to evolve to become more suited to HER individual features and not just following what’s in fashion. For instance, a great, cleaver, modern haircut could really show off that angular face; lots of lean layered clothes could still emphasise her fab figure and help her to express her personality. Anyone agree?
I am sorry, this time it looks like she wore the first things that tumbled on her head when opening her closet.
And you can see they tumbled on her head, because her hair is still messy.
I’d say try it again Anna…
Funny that she is using the right leg… Is she supposed to go into the car? Would start with the left one then…
Weird position I reckon and great icon as always!
Enjoy your day in the city of Brotherly Love and have a great book signing
I like the messy hair and minimal makeup.
I like the combo of pinks and reds, right down to the tip of her toes.
True her face looks tiered, but her body is WOW! Look at those legs. Why haven’t more people mentioned those legs?
Bravo! Couldn’t agree with you more. Do people know she also promoted her drop dead, ‘More is More” accessories line in that fabulous over the top AdR style…which sold out and crashed H&M website….all during fashion week without ever missing a beat or a show?!
And yes…..she has the most fabulous endless legs I’ve ever seen! Her whole ensemble is beautiful and everything she wears is carefully thought out well in advance. There’s a reason she is Editor at Large for Japan Vogue…Vogue’s largest circulation magazine. She is an industry Icon, as well as an icon for us regular folk.
Anna is as disciplined as they come. Years of daily Ashtanga yoga and hour swims. Besides being stunningly attractive, inside and out, and a force, she is kind, gracious and funny!
For those that don’t know, The Sartorialist started her” new” career as ‘street’ style icon…this after her lifetime career as editor at many Vogue venues.
Rest assured, there will be” more and more” from Anna, and it will be done with her impeccable ….over the top…style!
I think many are missing the point here. Look at the shape of the dress on her body. The way the dress is so snug on her bum. This dress is designed around curves and flattering body shapes and the Italians do it best.
I agree that this isn’t the most flattering photo of Anna, but I think we get the point. Almost all peplum is photographed from the front, focusing on the silhouette of the hips, but what about the tush? The full-length zipper is such a notable detail here, as well. And of course, the different pinks to play on an otherwise rich and sexy red.
You know what i love? Women like her who don’t believe in the fashion “rules,” like “no mini skirts over 35.” I think that’s something you find a lot more often in Europe than in America. Unless you live in New York, fashion is so blase and restricted.
