I’d say it’s the second one who is trying too hard though her jacket is very attractive. The first woman has a lovely expression and her pattern mix is terrific and witty. I like the repetition of black in both fabrics. The mix seems to me like a modern update of the tried and true leather and lace.
camo takes a lot of thought, in how to pair it with any outfit not of a neutral color. Neither of these are successful in my eyes. The second could work with the blue top. but then the pants and bag are in a totally different realm of dress from the camo. Jarring at best.
ABSOLUTELY NOT. He has said that he finds that to be a really offensive thing to do. He dislikes that sort of negative, closed minded thinking.I read about Scott saying that he was once hired to take street style photos for a magazine that did that kind of thing, and how the subjects didn’t trust him, and he revealed his VERY negative opinion of that practice. Bill Cunningham did too. Once some magazine took some of his photos that he really liked what the people were wearing, and made snide, judgemental captions criticizing them underneath and he was furious. Of course you can have any opinion you want, and Scott may have only liked some of the elements in the outfit, not all, he would never do what you are saying.
Scott has a very strong opinion about that. He didn’t put up a picture to tell people what not to wear. As for the American Election, I think what you say is really only true for Hilary Clinton voters. I think most of those who voted for the President Elect did so because they believed in his message. What a very cynical world view.
The top pic is most unusual. Her hair is a mess, her posture looks weak unless it’s the way the frumpy-looking clothes sit on her and yet she is lovely to look at and to keep coming back to her face. The second pic is daft although I’d be happy with the jogging T-shirt.
I love the second picture of the older woman. I’m 46 and have been thinking a lot lately about when I need to start dressing like a “grown-up”. Can I still wear the funky shoes? Do I look like I’m trying too hard? It’s great to see photos of women around my age who still dress with style and a lot of personality.
