How about the spectacles, would you wear them now? It always seems easier to fall in love again with certain prints, looks, etc from the past when it comes to clothes and some accessories but we seem a bit shy when it comes to statement eyewear, no?

I like that they add architecture to her face without obscuring her eyes. The expression in her eyes is what makes this such a great portrait. http://urbanguidebook.blogspot.com/
I think I may have an outfit simliar to this in my own closet that I will be putting on later today. Your mother is absolutely beautiful. Lovely styling .She could wear this now.
It’s very clear as soon as you look at her skirt and top combination, so typically 50′s. I really love the headscarf, I wish that headscarves would come in vogue.
wonderful photo…i have photos of my mom is clothing that at that time everyone wore including Diana Vreeland …. now very few americans follow fashion…so in the future when u find vintage photos it wont necessarily reflect fashion of that time

At the time of this picture, women were much more feminine even when wearing pants, there was always a nice belt, real shoes (no flip flops) and make up !
A silk scarf worn the way this young lady did is very classy.

Preciosa! Las gafas y el panuelo le quedan de maravilla! Esta claro que la elegancia y el estilo no tienen fecha de caducidad :) Marbella cuando todavia era un pueblecito maravilloso, estoy segura! ;) Saludos desde Miami!
She looks absolutely lovely. The headscarf and the glasses give her an elegant look that is timeless, and although the silhouette represents the 50s, it would be something I would wear (and have worn!) nowadays, especially the headscarf!
Am i the only one baffled by the current-ness of the sunglasses? The whole utfit is to die for, but sunglasses are one of thise things that change incredibly quickly, as far as trends go, but this pair isnso miu miu, this whoke outfit is.

To tell the truth I love clothes, shoes etc…like her.I think she has dressed well even now but maybe a bit better before.
Old will always remain gold and we should trace our origins from the past, in other words we should go back to the 50s and know where we are coming from. I love what l am seeing she looks gorgeous and what she is putting on can also be worn in this century.
Luis, fantastica la foto de tu Madre, es una epoca, “Viva Franco Arriba España” que se acaba e empieça la España actual numa foto. No es possible dicir mas. Fantastica
i wear the head scarf all the time, as your stunningly beautiful mother does in the photo. It was my favorite period of fashion, and yes i love the newe LV …that is all about that beautiful time. How wonderful too that your father is such a talented designer and designed the very fabric your Mother is wearing for the esteemed house, Gaston ey Daniela. Clearly you are all such a stylish and artistically talented and lovely family.
Best regards to your Mother, Carmela and your family Luis. And thank you so much for sharing your beautiful mother with us. Thanks Scott for posting!

She looks good. Your mother must have been a beauty queen in her 20s.

i wear the head scarf all the time, as your stunningly beautiful mother does in the photo.

She looks perfect for right now…except I don’t see many women so lovely and classically elegant. Wow. Just wow.
