Vintage Photos

These are my parents, Bailey and Barbara Jackson,  the photograph was taken in 1955 in Margate, a small seaside town in South Africa. They are still married and live in  Johannesburg.

    Beautiful pic! My aunt has a theory that says that couples who are made for each other resemble a lot. And when I’ve seen this picture I’ve thought that they looked like a lot.

    I hope I have explained well, lately I do not use much English….

    I like how this couple pose to the camera. Interesting. Especially man in this photograph. People used to pose much different in the past than today.

    Gorgeous. Look at how fit and healthy people used to be. It would be hard to find anyone with such good figures today. I drove by the beach, and eek. People have become very, very big. The good old days never looked so good.

    My father in law just died and the one good thing to come out of it was a number of vintage photos on him and his wife together in the ’40s.

    I’m another Joburger!! Love the bathing suit it’s so flattering… I wish everybody was still weaingr suits like that. It would make shopping for them so much easier! No more awkward moments in fitting rooms in bikinis haha

    What a great picture! I was born in South Africa, and the beaches there are some of the most beautiful in the world! I swear I have a picture just like this of my parents on a South African beach :)
