If you missed my initial post, here are the instructions again.
- The subject line of the email should read “Vintage Photo”
- The photos will only be posted here on the blog, so the file size can be very small (no bigger than 700kb). I DO NOT need hi-res images, they take too long to download.
- Writing a little something about the image you send will make your entry much more interesting for all of us.
- Email your photos to: sartorialistvintagephotos@gmail.com

He just seems so casual with an air of sophistication – I love it. I wish there was some kind of social consciousness that made this sort of wear more socially acceptable today. Modern society has lost something hasn't it?

Wow. I see where the glamorous aviator cliches come from. So confident. I like the mix of dapper and practical – the white shirt and moustache combined with the helmet and goggles, the tucked in tie, the notebook in the pocket, the watch chain, the rolled up sleeves.

People had respect for self more then than they do today. Attire, personal upkeep and hygiene, respect toward others, lack of daily stresses and an ability to relax.
History shows us how we were, both negative and positive, and we can today glean and learn much form this, our histories, especially during this Memorial Day weekend.
Who is this gentleman?

The cut of the pants interest me.
Flat front, full cut, and the high-waisted style that was so popular for men’s pants in the mid 20th Century. I wish designers would cut suits more to the silhouettes if the 30s and 40s rather than these skinny, close fitting styles of today.
It’s more flattering to the average male body.
