It’s been a long time since I heard so many wows!!! at the end of a collection from the mouths of guests as they left the show.

Yes! I have just viewed the collection. They are exemplary designers – and I write that not loving each piece personally but able to appreciate the astounding workmanship and beauty and dynamism of it all! With each collection it’s empting to think that the next will have to be less impressive; they can’t possible find another angle to their work. And then they do.

Breathtaking. Inspiring. The care to detail in every aspect from inception to presentation gives one hope that the lineage of couture will go strong into the future. Bravo to the designers that have the recognition of preservation of couture at the heart of their goals/aspiration.

okay stating the obvious here, but Valentino has since retired… can we at least congratulate the designers who took over his position, he clearly left his wonderful legacy in very capable hands!!!!!!!

Yes, this man IS a genius. And to keep creating SO creatively at his age. Inspirational on so many levels. He makes BEAUTY and LUXERY and ELEVATES the human condition and places woman on a pedestal, lovely gay man that he is.

Unfortunately Valentino Garavani is no more behind Maison Valentino, but the creative directors Chiuri and Piccioli have done a great job!

This collection is breathtaking; each is its own piece of art while contributing to the collection’s overall cohesiveness. The craftsmanship of the white embellished gown is beautiful. I think it is a slightly different take on the popular “naked” dresses of stars on red carpet this year, and seems more artistic instead of sexualized. Additionally, the line does an interesting job of balancing the delicate white pieces with the black, heavier fringe ones. I think the fringe cuffs on several dresses are interesting and refreshing, especially since feathers seem to be making a comeback. Overall, great line- the details are creative and have you going back to look again and again.
