Stunning Picasso reference; and spot on I might add.

It’s a toss up between this gentleman and the 2/20 Alberta Ferretti chap for Sartorialist of the Year. (so far). Sartorial, but not fey; interesting but totally suitable.

Mr. Browne, are you getting any of this?

He could be a menswear designer at Ralph Lauren — all those guys dress like that.

Ummh, yup, this man does look like the younger Picasso. And Picasso was trouble to women; good kind of trouble! This man is the same; I’d let him ruin my life but be kind of happy about it at the same time.

Once, at Bela Cintra St, I saw him with his italian motorcycle and LV bag. I’ve never seen an so elegant gentleman in Sao Paulo.

Yes – his face is ‘other worldly’. Also like how the cardigan sleeves come through from the jacket as well as its collar.

Love this–particularly the sweater collar in mid-flight; it’s all of a piece, all good.

    Young Picasso looks amazing…
When I try to wear a thick sweater under my sports jacket, I can´t move…oh well…

This is a great look. I just wonder how those jacket sleeves would look without the heavy sweater. They seem awfully short.

Great picture! Great blog! I agree, he looks like Picasso, when the artist was in the Blue Period (1902-1903). With the beard and all. By the way, my wife happens to know this gentleman; we are from São Paulo, Brazil, like him. And we love New York City!

I saw this guy in Paris last summer, during the mens’ fashion week. He didn’t have invitations to the shows either, but he was better than me, getting in anyway. I only heard the YSL show’s music from the hotel lobby.
    Cool guy!

Very stylish and carried off with aplomb with his strong features. If he is the editor of a decoration magazine he is straight out of his own pages!

I just dig this. He’s layered this outfit so lovingly – all those course textures in soft browns and greys, complemented by his beard and topped by a glossy coiffure.I mean the look is great ,but it’s really his mindset and personality I dig most.

Sartorialist, isn’t he the very same chap you photographed with his trainer laces tied around his ankles????

What does he do for a living apart from live and breath ‘looks’?

I love the outfit however I think he is trying to hard and that his hair should be mussed up just to offset the perfect outfit. Too much perfection is just too much. Needs a bit of character of realness (if that is a word).
