The Sartorialist in Stockholm

Hi all,

I’m returning to Stockholm next week!

In addition to roaming the streets for the blog, I will doing a book signing at Nordiska Kompaniet on August 10th from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM.  They are one of my favorite stores in Stockholm and I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to partner with them.

So, come and say hi if you’ll be in town!  I’m excited to get the chance to connect again with readers from Stockholm.  Photos I took there were a big part of my book, after all!

    Hello!

I follow your blog everyday and it is just great.

You should come to Gothenburg and not just Stockholm. There are a lot of cool people here with cool clothes.

You should come in autumn or winter. That is when people wear nice clothes. Do not come this summer. At summer, people do not dress well.

    Regards from Gothenburg

    That’s awesome!
You’ll be in the center of town but be sure to walk through each of the islands (Ă–stermalm, Södermalm, Kungsholmen) to see the different subcultures and people.

Sadly I’ll be out of town but I hope you have a great stay here!

I am very disappointed to be missing you in Stockholm, I arrive the following day! As it’s my first time in Stockholm (I live in London) I am thrilled to see the fashion in one of Europe’s most stylish cities! Any suggestions on the best neighborhoods for style watching?

YES! I’m in Stockholm that day.

I’m actually from Copenhagen, I’ve been living in New York the last year. How weird that it’s in Stockholm I’m might have the possibility of a book and a signature?!

    AWESOME, SCOTT! So excited.
Please bring Garance as well and it’ll be the perfect fashion harmony.

    Hello,
You have actually inspired me into fashion photography! And you should definitely come to Montreal, Canada if you can… It’s only 8 hours away from NY and tons to see here! Nicely well dressed people, historical sites, and many on-going events. Just this week, it was the Fashion & Design Festival and we had the honor to host Jean Paul Gaultier’s bourgeoises sans age collection. You can see more pics on my blog.

    Sincerely,
    Ali

    Hi!
I’m probably the most unlycky person in the world right now. When you visitet Belgium last year I missed you becouse I was in the wrong town, and now when i moved back to Sweden you come to visit again and I’m in the wrong town again!! I think you might be just the coolers person in the world and your blog has been such a inspiration to me! You get creditet well all the time but I just want to underline how important you’ve been to people, and i wish that the nexttime you visit sweden you will come to gothemburg, so I could meet you. Ther is so much to see here, fashionwise, aswell as design and kulture! I really hope you’ll visit my beautiful town and that I’am at that time is not located in Stockholm or somethis ;) that would be far to ironic.
    Best regards a huge fan!

    (second attempt)
I belong to the gang that thinks you should hit Göteborg: there is a large festival here then (Way Out West: http://www.wayoutwest.se) so I think a lot of the trendsetters (street fashion and beyond) will be here, many people will still be at their country places etc. However I now see why you are coming then: it’s Stockholm’s fashion week when some designers will be showing (10 min. runway shows?) their designs for Spring and Summer 2012 at the same time as the fall collections will be available in shops. I haven’t followed the various controversies over these weeks (there is one in (Feb.?) as well) but it seems to be split into two different arrangements…
    Anyway, enjoy!

Scott, come to Finland. As you have wrote, there are just two to three looks you see in Stockholm. Everybody looks the same. In Helsinki you see the difference. It is not the money, it’s the personality that shows. We are way more cool than STO ever.
