Recently I had the opportunity to shoot the Fall ad campaign for H.E. by Mango.

I don’t know how they do it, but H.E. is offering very very good style at a very very good price, which is all that you could ever really ask from a brand.  Recently, far after this project was completed, I was at their SoHo store and bought a beautiful, dark brown suede jacket for $149. Next week, I’ll take a picture and share it with you.

Classy, cool and head-turning. ya know, when it’s not too much of a style on a man and doesn’t look too overboard overthought.

    Very nice.

I wish I lived somewhere where I can wear a buttoned shirt and a sweater and a vest and a coat. No chance of that in Texas.

Love this campaign. It doesn’t feel like ads at all. Very natural.

Sigh. Ad campaigns like these ruin women. What, your guy doesn’t look dapper all the time, especially playing with his dog? (What, your guy doesn’t HAVE a dog?)

    Awesome photos.

Whats up with all the advertisement and whatever happened to your passion for craftsmanship ? I love your page but MANGO seriously? You know how the make their price, child laboring in bangladesh and discount fabrics. I hope the money you got from MANGO was worth it…

A good shoot, of course, and you’ve made him and the clothes look great — but I can’t help but think that it would have been more adventurous of H.E. by Mango to give you a van load of their clothes, then for you to take them to somewhere such as the Navigli district in Milan — and find out how some of the stylish 20-somethings in that neighbourhood would put them together. it could make quite a surprising shoot. Okay, maybe too surprising for the ad agency, but still….

The clothes look very nice and. Admittedly, the first thing I – and others, probably – focus on is how handsome the model is. When the clothes are as surprisingly inexpensive as you say, Scott, my thoughts immediately dwell on what sort of conditions and wages do the manufacturing staff work under? It can be difficult!

great photos. I think there is something other than style and value to ask of a brand, however. How a brand treats their employees, and how a brand treats the environment are important to me and I can’t overlook this when I shop.
