Perhaps I am a brute, but I find it impossible to share your enthusiasm for the tuxedo, which is so hard for me to view as an expression of personal style, outside of certain subtleties. An interesting corollary to this is that all of my attention shifts to grooming and posture, both of which are interesting in themselves. For that reason, the seated gentlemen owns the above photo. His hands are at ease.
So graceful – you captured something balletic here. As Ron says, minimal tuxedo style allows body language to shine. The choice of black and white does the same in this image. I can sense something so refined and heartfelt between these men.
It reminds me – in this way – of Leonardo’s Last Supper. You told a story about their relationship with a similar eloquence.
