what a great video! the event was so so amazing. i had just 10 seconds chatting with scott schuman, but it was the best 10 seconds i could ask for! garance and he were super nice. can’t wait for the next one
Congratulations! Wish I could get a signed copy one day! Love your work! You are an artist with your camera, you not only capture the people and their style, you also capture a feeling, the moment, a wish, sometimes even a whole story and that’s what makes your work being art and not just “streetstyle”!
Congratulations! I love your work! Wish I could get a signed copy one day! Your are an artist with your camera! You not only capture people and their style, you also manage to picture a special moment, a feeling, a wish, sometimes even a whole story! And that’s what makes you being an artist and not a “streetstyle photographer”!
I’ve been inspired to buy the book .I see it’s for sale online at net a porter , quite a convenient excuse to buy something else as well ! I love the cover photo and seeing the actual “model” at the book signing as well as hearing comments from the other guests.
Wathing this video was almost too much…..emotion ! It makes me miss everything : the city, the fashion, the very stylish crowd at the book signing and seeing you and Garance.
Love the video in black and white (my favorite) and my precious Billie Holiday (my favorite blues singer) as background music…..
I love this video! I love the initial comments about Scott capturing a variety of styles and really pushing the boundaries of “what’s style” and what is not. I’m constantly inspirted by this blog and Garance’s! Thank you both.
Scott, you were such a trooper for staying past the 8 o’clock hour to assure everyone’s book was signed.
Truly, a great time was had by all…I was also fortunate to meet the person on the cover of CLOSER, Ms. Ni’ma Ford, who graced my copy with her autograph…right next to yours.
This was a big success and no doubt your book is one of the best that has come out this season. Judging it from the great number of people who attended you have gained fame and prestige and you should never look back do what you have to do to keeping you going.
What a colorful event it was! I must confess l have a rough idea what this book is all about. Quit inspiration and it is what you need to keep you going, thumbs up for the far you have come and keep it real.
Please, allow me to congratulate you with all of respect and sincereness! Your world inspires me :)) inspires to be yourself, allows to dream and realise yourself with courage and determination. Thanks a lot)
Scott, last week a friend went to your opening and she asked you if you could sign an invitation for me as a present, I just received it and now it’s hanging in front of me at my office, best gift ever THANKS!!!!! Greetings from Chile!!
I have to agree with the one gentleman, I too use the images as inspiration for my clothing and what I’m going to wear. I love the website, your previous book (which is so dog eared from my different moods) and can not wait to get the new book. My only wish is that I could have been present for an autographed copy. Perhaps the next time. Great party!
I get the same vibe from this video as I do from the “Dinner Party” mini-film: Mr Schuman’s event seems to have brought together a group of interesting people who gathered to talk style and enjoy each others’ company. Wish I could have been there. I’m also impressed that this video treats its subjects, most of whom are not famous people, the same way the dinner party film does its movers and shakers of the style world: with respect and a clear desire to celebrate each attendee’s individuality.
