It’s been great this summer to see all these cool young ladies embracing the understated sophistication of a well-designed blouse. Whether new or vintage, cotton or silk, solid or patterned, the blouse has been severely under appreciated the last few years.

This hair style seems to be getting around in Italy, we saw it on the woman in the white suit earlier. I love the pants with the high waist with the white blouse. I don't mind the black bra with it, gives it an edge it wouldn't have otherwise. Black ballet flats look great with everything. She reminds me of Claire Danes the great American actress.

I'm in total agreement. The beauty of a neat, well-made blouse/shirt is not to be underestimated. My grandmothers, in the 1950s-60s knew this, even as they did chores wearing a crisp blouse and "pedal-pushers."
Love her eye.

Totally agree with whoever mentioned the horror of the dark bra beneath the perfect white shirt. Italian girls seem to have a knack for selecting the worst possible bra for the top they're wearing – I've seen colored bras with strapless top (helloooo?) plenty of times, not to mention the bright colored bra beneath white shirt or top. It never fails to make me cringe.
