the profile shot with the funky camel shoes, white tights, taylored navy coat, modern bob and urban gray beanie. what a perfect and unforeseen combination! it's 2011 romantic and lady-like. love!
What a lovely trio! I particularly like the first – all-black just looks so incredibly classy. Having said that, each one of them looks very stylish in her own way.
I like something in all the three shots but the third one is the best.
In the first one I love her figure and how she keeps her hair (and I have a soft spot for blonde hair on a black outfit) and in the second one I love the bag, totally.
In the third one I love everything about the girl, she looks so pure with her white thighs and that coat, almost like a school girl. The shoes are just perfect (if I knew where to buy them I'd take them immediately!). And the light, how it scatters on her hat, is wonderful.
It reminds me the feeling that one has in the cold sunny winter Sunday mornings in Italy and my childhood: the moment when the people coming out from the church go to buy pastries for the Sunday lunch…
It's amazing how just one picture, one girl, a style can evoke an entire world of feelings and memories.
Cold weather means great coats, thick scarves, fantastic boots … love December. The lighting in the third is excellent; she looks like a snow angel in a cashmere hat :)
I like these cloth coats better than the fur shot. Makes me feel that being chic and being rich are not the same thing. All of these girls look like they work for a living, which is wonderful in and of itself.
LOVE the second picture, just because of the dog. A pit bull has to be the greatest accessorie. ;) Wish I looked like the woman in the first picture, she's just perfect!
I absolutely loooove the first look and the photo capture but also the other two are just great! I like the blue shoe laces at the second photo (also matching the dog's strap :) And I thing that the girl of the third photo has a very fine sense of style. Lovely blue and white combination and those wedges stand out but match perfectly with everything else. I also love her hair. So, we have a fashionable, a cool and an elegant girl :) Thanks 'for the inspiration 'Sartorialist' :)
I wonder if in the first shot, it is just a weird angle, but the only thing I can worry about is…. why is she STANDING in the MIDDLE of the ROAD messing around with her PHONE? I don't care how fabulous she looks, that is just dumb.
The first photo is just wonderful. The coat and the boot colors and the side view is fantastic. Who doesn't like a busy, beautiful woman? Thank you! http://www.pippihepburn.com
I feel like the dress in the third picture should be a bolder color in order to balance the shoes. Those are some great wedges, but without that coat they will take over the whole outfit.
The first picture just HAS to be my favorite, if only for the way the woman in it has tucked as much of her head and neck into her fantastic coat. It's good to know it's cold in NY too. YUM. :)
These pictures give me swiftly passing moments of envy of people who get to dress for cold weather. Then I scoot my chair over into the warm beam of sunshine coming thru my window while I'm working here in LA. No regrets.
I love best the intersection with the bulldog. It seems ever aspect of urban life at this time of the year is crossing there at once. That is a beautiful hat. Where I live and have lived it is a necessary piece of outerwear and not just a fashion statement. The well wrapped scarf just feels warm even looking at it and I love the wisps of blond hair coming out. They give s little life back to the fur fringe. her boots are as tough as her dog.
I love how alive NYC is and how fashionable and daring the people of this city are. I love the first picture and how 'the city that never sleeps' keeps spinning around you and you are able to put it on hold for a minute in all of its madness to check into your world.
I'm loving this look you keep capturing: wide ankle boots on long-legged ladies. The break in the line is so cool. But my absolute favourite look is the last one. Sweet.
In the top photo it's amazing how the wide opening on the boots slim-line the legs! I'm definitely keeping that in mind for our next photo shoot! The jacket is perfectly structured for her too. It's tough to find such a flattering and warm jacket that isn't too bulky.
The first photo is timeless the black on black is to die for. The boots top the simplicity of the outfit just right. The side tie on the boot gives them an interest visible to all. The height along with the over sized ankles really give this more classic outfit a new edge in 2010.
i love the last picture. absolutely adore her wedges, and how she makes her outfit girly with the white stockings and the bottom of her white pleated dress peeking out below the hemline of her trench coat.
For the winter these 3 styles are super!!! I love scarves (usually I wear cashmere scarves, like the Ecotoosh ones), and the one in pic #2 is really nice!
This is my favorite photo on this blog. Simply perfect. The whole ensemble is classy and a bit retro, great as set in the middle of an urban scene in New York OR on some cobbled path in Europe.
to be honest… i do not like the shoes in the first shot. to me, personally, the young woman's legs are looking very strange in these shoes… like a broomstick in a bucket

inky navy is such a kinder winter colour than black.
especially in nyc 'light' which can be harsh and more cool toned.
the shorter boots gapping around the ankles ruins the silhouette and line of the apparel.

I fell inlove with the 3rd photo. It looks so soft yet sophisticated. It looks like the woman has just traveled through time. Very classic.

The first photo is timeless the black on black is to die for. The boots top the simplicity of the outfit just right. The side tie on the boot gives them an interest visible to all. The height along with the over sized ankles really give this more classic outfit a new edge in 2010.
