mmm…so many men in suits. the littlest details make the biggest difference in menswear. I like that.

But his dbj is unbuttoned. Sartorial rules apply to Hamish Bowles but not in Williamsburg, then? Just razzin’ ya.

I have the biggest respect for Chassids. They wear the same exact style every day because it’s a way to take the focus off of their appearance and more on G-d. But even so, they look pretty snazzy to me!

Very slick. He pulls of the cool cat just chilling very well. I love his hat! It’s very fantastic.

I was under the impression that Hasidic Jews strictly shied away from having theiir photographs made? Is this why his hat is tipped in such “cool cat” fashion?

so very very enigmatic. i love the contrast of colours going on in this photo, especially the stark whitness of his shirt right beside the red post with the brick oranges and reds in the background. its a wonderful photo.
i would love to know about the subject of the photo though.

Let me send you a photo from 1935. My Gramps in a tilted fedora and his tongue sticking out, with a baby carriage. He pulls it off! Sexier than this guy, even.–Like your site. I talk about clothes on my blogspot, but more homey.

This is such a great shot for so many reasons… the colour, the man, thepose, the hate, the railing in the background. It feels almost Charles Dickens.
