In 2013 I challenged myself to shoot in more diverse settings like inside a cafe, in an apartment building hallway or in a shop.

I love how diverse each picture’s mood is,the first one is warm and dark, the second one is bleak but glossy and the third is vast/ blank but really fitting for portrait-like photos!

These pictures are more like portraits, they’re also very diverse, which I like, it gives another vision on people. I like the expression of the man on the first picture, and the set is warm and different from what you normally shoot. The man on the last picture has the greatest smile.

The top pic is my favorite though I also like how you made the lighting look so soft in the second one.

It is indeed a great contribution to your photography, as Araki said art is all about doing what you shouldn’t, your images are making the transition from just style to a deeper understanding of human nature. Well done & Happy New Year
