The other day I mentioned that a photographer has to be spontaneous. This photo shoot with Tank is another perfect example of how important it is to just go with the flow. This photo shoot was pitched as a “Day in the Life” of Crystal Renn.
The first shot I envisioned was a simple scene of her in the kitchen, maybe making coffee and doing the dishes. Simple, domestic living. However, as soon as I raised the camera for the first shot, Crystal raised the knife and it became “Crystal” clear to me how this shoot was going to go. As you can see in the following images, it turned out to be much more fun than my original vision and potentially a lot closer to what her real daily life is like…or so I will forever imagine.
