This collection is extremenly interesting from an experimental point of view. Some of the peices look like they have morphed together or been chopped up and sewn on to other items. There is a dress there that has a strange tux like collar coming off one side. I say strange but I say it in a good way, its all very intriging.
By the way; the shoes are apalling!

Very mixed review here. #2 and #8 are so badly cut its surprising they made it onto the runway. After looking at this and the travesty at Saint Laurent, one wonders if basic tailoring skills are considered de trop.

Sorry I don’t get this at all. If the models can’t make these pieces look good, I sure as hell can’t. I’m sure I’ve seen some shots of Garance Dore wearing a really great oversized Stella coat – in fact, I think she wore it in that video interview she did with Stella. That coat was so elegant and beautifully cut. It had some volume but it still fit her properly. These are just unwearable as far as I’m concerned. Who can afford to spend that much on something so ill-fitting and so ‘of the moment’? When they’re over, they’ll be SO over.

#7 (the grey coat) is a circa late 1980s early 1990s look that is about to be restored to us. Melanie Griffith should returning to the big screen sometime soon too.

i don’t get all the love here. i don’t get the love for stella m. at all. sometimes she makes really beautiful coats and jackets. but 80% it’s horrible “fashion”. unwearable. and “art” isn’t an excuse.

My goodness, some of those designs are bordering on upsetting. Why are the coats so big? Isn’t it the point of fashion to make people look more attractive, let them connect with their beautiful and creative sides? ENHANCE what we’ve been given by nature in one way or another? That checked/tartan jacket makes that skinny model look like a crane operator from a building site in communist Poland, and I know what I’m talking about. Love the numbers 2 and 4, but the rest – just a big nothing.
