Starring in the Movie of His Life, Milano

I love how Milanese gentlemen move like they are the star of their own film.

Such swagger. Such intrigue.

This isn’t about fashion or even style but about creating an impact on the viewer.

A visual seduction.

You are so right, they definitely do seem to be the star of their own films. If only more people had the confidence and attitude to pull that off! I certainly wish that I could.

your totally right! I personally know 2 milanese (age 35, 62) who fit propperly in your discription.I think it also has to do with the tremendous high self-esteem that they carry through their lifes: on one hand their italian, on the other their milanese. Even in a bad hairy day they look fabolous! bastards!

    Congrats. for your work.

Dress for comfort, to tell a story, to present your best side, to have fun or to be fun…
Too many people dess only for comfort (tracksuit in the school run?) which to me is passing up on a interesting component of everyday life.
Its like eating only to feel full when food can be nourishment, health, beauty, flavor, enjoyment, company, culture…

Great shot. Milan is all about style! It just does not have to be the it-style: rather your own style. Fashion is temporary, style is eternal, as they always say.

    Another incredible photo….
It is always so refreshing to see men and women who enjoy dressing to please themselves and not anyone in particular….

One gets tired of seeing a "sea of jeans" everyday on everyone.

sometimes swagger looks pathetic on some men,

Could this "personal movie star effect" have something to do with the fact that this shot is in black and white, the subject's clothes harkening back towards a romanticized imagining of a cosmopolitan 40s or 50s?
