I just think this guy always looks so cool, and yet he does it with such simple items. George Cortina has also always been a master of this chic simplicity.
Today, by coincidence, I was looking for an old image and found the first shot of this gentleman back from 2008.
I’ve often said that personal style is about consistency; this man has great personal style.

Consistency is key – I love this because it shows that trends are interesting, but personal style (when right) can be timeless.

Dear Scott,
thanks for those refreshing pictures, after all the fashion-week overload, this calm, coolness is much appreciated.
Obviously the burgundy scarf is key. But the cut of his pants is phantastic (probably Yamamoto?), the shoes, the coat, the colors. So nice. Like the lady in the last post. Makes you feel really relieved, that one DOESNT have to wear yellow pants with orange 7inch heels and a pink mink coat to be fashionable.
Cheers

He knows how to choose and wear clothes. A navy wool coat then, a black wool coat now, the scarves adding the color, good shoes… and yes, being handsome looking helps :)

An inspiration of coolness. Love the layering of loose pants with the white shirt and perfectly-carelessly tied scarf with that coat. I know this will be unpopular, but I wish I were still a smoker sometimes….

He’s a sharp and subtle dresser, no doubt about it. I particularly like the second shot. But I wonder why it is that so many chicsters don’t put their arms into their coat sleeves. If you wanted to annoy one of them, all you’d have to do is nudge the coat off their shoulders. Or indeed, if you wanted to grab hold of a particularly fabulous coat and then run away at high speed, it would be easily done. Not that I ever would.
