This photograph screams money and elegance to me (not that the two things go always well together). I remember a jeweller in Milan a few years ago complaining about this trend of women wearing big sport watches. "A woman's wrist is too small for the typical men's diving watch" he said. I like it on this lady tough.

To the person who accused this lady here of not having beautiful style. I wonder where you get your definition of style?
Personally, over the top Balenciaga shoes and bags, poofy skirts and shoulder pads are as obscene as powdered wigs and crinoline skirts.
If you agree that fashion is art, this photo is definitely art, and by implication- very fashionable.

Fashion industry, the trend set and the people in it seem very fine, but Scott, the reason I started to follow your blog was that you posted shots of personal styles of commoners as well. The blog feels like any fashion magazine nowadays, especially during the fashion months. Saying things like this have gotten me
in trouble in other blogs, but I hope you don't forget what made your blog unique.

This is the kind of shot that is so striking that I try not to look too long, because I actually won't want to stop.

I don't understand why one great picture of a generically great looking woman is posted and people have a fit over it. Yea, her outfit isn't over the top unique or great, but come on, this is an awesome shot of a cool looking gal. I also dig men's sport watches on the right type of girl.

Not every photo on a fashion blog has to be of outrageous, unattainable outfits.
As for Specialward's comment…I'd much rather see a beautifully lit portrait of an attractive person than a shot of someone plain dressed like a clown :)

today, after a despicable morning, i wandered into a bookstore/coffee shopi and there next to the new valentino was your collection of art. it was the only copy on the shelf and looked as if it had been admired a few times over. honestly, the sight of your book and its worn binding made me truly smile. i ended up buying that very copy for knowing that very book uplifted others delights me. all inspired, p.

It really is amazing how the shadows have created the perfect necklace.
Look at her collarbone, and her broad shoulders, and long arms with elegant hands.
With simple make-up, big hoops and what looks like a ponytail.
A mens Omega watch and nothing else on her wrists.
A wedding band and ring with nothing else on her fingers.
And there in nobody around her, behind her, etc?
At a fashion show?
She's like a dream!

I like your title "Second row…".
I take it to mean, see not every beauty uses PR and is dressed by the designer and plopped down in row one.
This is a girl that clearly could have that happen for her and yet she sits in row two looking elegant and timeless.

I saw her at the show,
the best looking most graceful women in the entire Palais.
Tim Blanks was interviewing her on camera backstage afterwards.
Those slacks were very high waisted with a full leg,

The shot is great!
The dark background brings the focus to the subject with such an impact! Her brown skin looks so luminous and her black hair and black singlet blend into the darkness bringing her forward more. This looks like a high fashion shoot.

The cover of Vogue comment is spot-on. I have no idea who this woman is, but the photo of her is more thrilling than 99.99% of what I've seen in fashion magazines this year. The only other photo that's gotten me so strongly was that one of the toned woman in the red American Apparel dress on her phone in front of the taxi cab. Everyone remember that one? Sigh.

As a designer, this photo has very pleasantly inspired me in terms of just clearing my head, redefining what is true chic and elegance and generally re creating a canvas… ! Fashion is not always about a zillion details but more of a focal point that escalate into beautiful aesthetics. Everything in this photo is a starting point for that perfection. Who is she? : )

An American Film & Television actress with a few dozen credits, who also happens to be the daughter of Donna Summer & Bruce Sudano
She was in the cast of Damon Wayons "My Wife & Kids" on ABC for a couple seasons
There was just a pictorial of her in Septembers InStyle magazine
