One of the best things about the Sartorial Excellence event was the number of young Sartorialists that passed through during even the short time I was there.
“Sartorial Excellence” sounds like it could get a bit (a lot) stuffy and stodgy but these young guys in their vintage suits and second-hand ties were the perfect balance to the perfectly-fitted outfitters.

I am not sure if I would consider this attire sartorial excellence!

I think most people would agree that style is more important than sartorial excellence. This kid has style

He reeks of style. The vintage-ness, the textures, the colors, that leather strap. Ooh, oooh, ooh. The smile doesn’t hurt, either.

I’m impressed that he is so young and yet he makes this look very natural, and not like a costume.

I wear a lot of thrift store suits in casual situations and the end product is a lot like this. I usually keep it a little more polished, but I’m rather obsessive-compulsive (eg I have a physically naseating reaction to seeing “distressed” clothing).
