You drove to INDIE?! Wow that’s quite the road trip, spur of the moment! I’m flying from Colorado to Indie’s western neighbor, central Illinois, tomorrow… and I’m so glad I’m not driving. But I do wish I was close enough to try this pizza! Danville, IL is as close as I’ll get. Thanks for sharing!

You drove to Indy!? That’s where I live and yes Bazbeaux never disappoints! Do you plan to take pictures while visiting (street style or otherwise) and will you post them? I have to say it’s hard to find people here with GREAT street style but visiting the Mass Ave and Broad Ripple neighborhoods might be a good place to start.

I’m from Indianapolis, but have lived in Jersey City for the past 6 years. I must agree with your assessment of Bazbeaux’s Pizza–I always make sure I get there on my visits home. The Quattro Formaggio pizza & spinach salad are delicious! Thanks for getting the word out about a true Indy gem!

I live many, many miles away from Indy these days, but I do recall Bazbeaux’s pizza served in that decrepit old house, close to the fire station and the Broad Ripple canal, as being the best. Long may it rule! Also, glad you’re sharing the love……

Love! Love! As a fellow Hoosier living in NYC, I can completely appreciate this! I always stop by Bazbeaux’s when I’m at home for a visit. I miss the old Mass Ave location though but mostly for nostalgic reasons…and my unabashed love of the old decorative wall painting.
Hope you have been able introduce Garance to the gastronomic wonder of the hoosier pork tenderloin sandwich, as well. I’ve always thought that would make for the greatest food truck ever! Thanks for the fun post today!

I loved seeing that gorgeous cheesy pizza as soon as I checked up on your site today. Indy has several really good home-grown pizza joints. I’m heading to Jockamo’s Upper Crust in Irvington for lunch today in fact. Would love it if you’d post a style shot from our shared hometown some day… while Indy’s not exactly known for cutting edge street style, it’s full of stylish men and women not overly concerned with what’s going on in NYC or anywhere else for that matter.

You yankees should stop calling anything round and vaguely tomato-ish pizza! ;) This pizza is ugly! I really hope it tastes much better than it looks!
Also, there’s no such thing as a “PIZZA ALLA QUATTRO FORMAGGIO”… it’s “PIZZA AI QUATTRO FORMAGGI”.
with 1 kind of cheese -> al formaggio
with >1 kind of cheese -> ai formaggi

You started in Indy? That’s amazing. I’m from Indy (currently studying in Bloomington) and I wish people here were more interested in fashion. I want to work in the fashion industry at some point (as a writer or publisher) and sometimes it’s hard to imagine anyone from my humble hoosier background finding any success in it. I love Indiana and I’ll always be fond of it, but it’s inspirational to see someone like yourself who now has such an interesting, international life coming out of the midwest! It sounds cliché, but finding out that a prominent fashion industry figure like yourself has something in common with me is inspirational.

As an Indianpolis native… one of my absolute favorite restaurants. Miss Indy and Broadripple everyday.

I’m a little late, but I love seeing this nonetheless…Bazbeaux has been my spot since high school, more than 15 years ago…I still make it a point to go there when I get back to Indy. I miss the original garage, but I love the place anyway. I will soon be taking my fiance there and cannot wait- his first time in the US; Bazbeaux will be our first stop in Indy, that’s for sure! Love, love, love! Thanks so much for posting this.

Hi, Scott:
Fellow Hoosier here – had my first Bazbeaux a couple months ago. It was good, but not out of the ordinary. Moving back to Peru in a couple months. Stop in next time you’re in the area.
