This is such a great film–Weber and Chet are both amazing artists…

Agreed – he is a great photographer. His use of texture and tone is wonderful.

Oh! That’s one of my favourite documentaries. I hope there’s a DVD release too.

Do you also know the work of Paul Jasmin? Paul preceeded Bruce and they are both friends. “Lost Angeles”, a book of photographs by Jasmin, has an introduction, beautifully and poetically written, by Weber.

    Love Chet Baker.
I also hope that they release this in DVD ’cause I don’t think they will be playing it in Brazil…

I saw this one years ago and just floated out of the old Ogden cinema in Denver… it made me that high. It’s an experience, this film, one that film and jazz lovers will deeply appreciate for years to come.

Thanks so much for posting this! I’ve had the soundtrack for years but never had the chance to see the film. Made it to Film Forum last night and soaked in the dramatic black and white, aimlessly wandering camera shots. I would have missed the film without your post, so again – many thanks!
