I gotta tell you about Garance’s new show Pardon My French. Obviously I love the show (I’m a biased boyfriend) but the thing I love most is seeing Garance push herself to try something new. The fact that she’s exploring an idea that hasn’t really been done in the blog world is one of the big reasons why I respect her so much as an artist.
As you’ll see in the videos, she’s just as charming in real life as she is in her writing.

I love DVF so much, and I came so close to owning one of her beautiful pieces on a recent thrifting trip, but everything went very, very wrong. I think you’ll get a real kick out this story, you can read it here: http://natashafatah.blogspot.com/2012/02/bulk-barn-and-peer-pressure.html

I love the show because it’s escapist but still provides a great glimpse into the reality of both of your worlds. I’d like to see more of the difficult moments too, though. We’re trying to do this with our fashion start-up, documenting the good moments as well as the bad, but I suppose it’s quite difficult to convey the bad moments in a positive light.

You know, I have to say that I am genuinely enjoying Garance’s videos too. Just yesterday I posted about these very videos on my blog and her new print for Kate Spade. I pretty much wrote something similar to what you did here in your last line. She’s smart. These videos make her very familiar, almost like we really do know her.

Until two days ago went to Garance’s site… Terrific!!! You say “she’s charming” Scott I think that “charming” is an understatement, when DVF is describing the woman that she designs for, it sounds like she is describing Garance! congratulations to both, besides the obvious talent I loved to see the independence & colaboration of two intense human beings.
Warm regards…

So charming! I love how relatable she is. My blog is on Art not fashion, but contemporary art really fuses fashion, music and design, and Garance’s blog combines them all superbly. That is VERY difficult to do. Her illustrations are stunning as well.

Garance is a real charmer, and very real and sweet. But her friends are Gawdawful bland, like, y’know, with, like, nothing at all to say. They could, like, barely formulate sentences. I find many young women these days disappoint like this. Is it lack of education? Lack of culture? Lack of …
DVF is also charming.
